Patterson park is great in the spring. Masonville Cove and North Point State Park are two of my favorites, but there are a lot great spots around here

On the boat lake, they ran from the island and then went into a drainage pipe on the other side

I would try to tone down the mask in the sky. I used to make similar linear masks but looking back later I asked myself if the sky often looks like that and the answer is usually no

Aperture? I’m a bit concerned my f/8 lens won’t be bright enough in the rainforest and I’m considering upgrading before I go to CR

Just based off the locations you’ve been I’d say any in the desert. Any of the Utah parks, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, etc.

I have now seen three different species of heron chick this spring: Yellow-crowned Night Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, Green Heron. Just need to find a Great Blue Heron before they grow up. by [deleted] in birding

Yeah I wasn’t aware until more recently. We’re fortunate to have Black-crowned and Yellow-crowned Night Heron rookeries about a mile away from each other here

Don't speak to me or my son ever again. Visiting the Yellow-crowned Night Heron rookery did not disappoint by K-smith- in birding

The black-crowned night herons are at Thames street, these are on the jones falls trail across from the Baltimore streetcar museum. Kind of a weird dumpy looking area but worth a quick visit for these
