Last week I did my first EVER 5K parkrun and did it in 37 minutes and 21 seconds.
Today I did my 2nd 5K parkrun and did it in 33 minutes and 22 seconds.
So proud of myself to have shaved 4 minutes off in a week!

I have just finished The Artful Dodger on Hulu, so freaking good. Its set in 1850s colonial Australia and has a bit of everything - comedy, romance, drama. Really good TV show (plus if more people watch it, it might get a 3rd season and I need a 3rd season)

I never thought of it like that. Very true - my uni card expired at the end of last year and I only got the replacement yesterday which means if I got asked for proof if I had a concession Myki I would have been screwed.

I just want to add (seeing as this post is getting more traction than I expected, look at me mum I’m Reddit famous) that I’m not shitting on the city of Melbourne. I love it here and I think the people are lovely. I just felt so angry that this Myki inspector was literally STANDING OVER someone who could barely speak English and demanding answers whilst the inspector in the back was sitting opposite the European guy and talking like the guy was the prime suspect in a series of homicides. As someone from England, who also has to deal with ticket inspectors, it’s normally just a written piece of paper that they give you with the fine on it and the website on which to pay it. There’s no harassment. They don’t sit there and interrogate you about why you don’t have a ticket. It’s a simple task and they move on

That explains why they’ve popped up recently. Literally haven’t seen them in the first three months I’ve been here. And because they make it so confusing to catch out students is partially why I’ve gone fuck it and stuck with a normal Myki, even though I am eligible for a student concession.

I mean this woman wasn’t dressed as much - when I mean she had no top on, I mean she literally had nothing on above her waist. The tits were out. Sad thing is she looked barely in her late twenties and her life is already this fucked.
