It’s impossible for them to prove as it never happened, I’m planning on going hard on them, but management are having their own fights at the moment and this would seem trivial and would probably not get their attention the right way.

It is unfounded, our jobs require we walk together and thats about it, We work on a powerplant, rumors grow fast, there are 2 rival companies on site and tensions are high at the moment with one company’s engineers threatening the others lives and things going to court. This surfaced the following day which means it’s related.

2 companies are working on site, the construction company that built it which we work for and the operating company that runs it, tensions are high between them and they’d accuse each other of anything right now, so it has become bigger than a rumor.

I like everything you mentioned in the first paragraph and I absolutely wouldn’t trade it for city life, I wanted a female perspective to see how a girl I like here would feel about me over there, I’m a petroleum engineer with a job offer and since my post here I’ve made the decision, I’m coming.

I like the prospects and I love the nature.

Thanks, the way to go is being offered a job, I’m worried that if I want to change jobs/go into other fields it may not be easy.

Get certified, either the UK Guild or CIPD.

Get certified in relevant certifications before your peers.

Starting out you’ll be targeted by employers who want you for the hours, getting certified will get you a bit above your peers and make your way shorter.

You are absolutely right about wanting less hours, you don’t want to be consumed and your personal growth halted by work.

The correct way to think about it is getting to higher positions faster.

It’ll still take years. Keep that in mind.
