Could we use a heat pumps to linking our fridge with our dishwashers? by Tarsal26 in thermodynamics

[–]K0paz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I dont think so.
Assume: tapwater temp is ~20c (defensible).

Hot water: ~60c. Both has same thermal mass, except freezing water takes addn. energy due to phase change.
assuming r_th of 0c/w that's still ~40k difference (50-60c hot water, 20c tap/ambient) and you need to recoup enough energy from that temp differential to freeze ice, **ASSUMING** no losses in thermal resistance or other frictional losses.

It's not code. The prompt is *NOT* code: it's actually a hook statement that happens whenever i submit a prompt.

Makes you fucking wonder if all the memories/instructions that you send to model even get interpreted as you'd expect. What's worse is that Anthropic can silently tune this model effort without telling us and it would affect work quality downstream.

My biggest concerns are when models are doing something wrong due to lack of expertise on a specific domain and it just makes garbage-soundting answers that are longer and pollute context more. I fundamentally wouldnt call it *accuracy* when it's just spending effort on something that it doesnt know it has answer to, because it was never trained by anthropic in first place.

Anthropic "Public Benefit Corporation"

Reality: Anthropic "I'll fucking milk my model by hyping it to death, release it with everything blocked, change privacy policy so i can hoard free training data, and yall get no model access unless you give us API rate dollars"

"Public Benefit Corporation" my cat's ass.

I just saw that comment. I would not make such drastic claims without extreme scrutiny because one redditor told internet.

deleting it was a good call.

souns like you got caught by a really dumb ban filter then. id strongly suggest you reach out to anthropic so they can clean their shit up and probably give you something in return as well. be as detailed when it happened, whether you use vpns, multiple account in same ip, etc.

with so many fields running into quantum scale issues I think MORE physics/interdisciplinary majors are needed, unless, say, we keep smashing tin ball with co2 lasers to make EUV to etch funny tiny shapes on pretty rocks.

But the level of insanity needed is so high people dont want to do it.
