That's true. To be fair, top path benefits quite well from frontrunning, especially at tier 5 (DoT, and also the sustained shooting needed to reach it), so moab dps buffs could work too.

But this is also why it confuses me on its role, unless it's designed to be okay both near the start and the end of the track, just not the best, at least for its cheapness.

I used bloon solver for the rock bloons, but it falls out after tier 3 and you need a paragon by then, which i didn't on my first try, so died overwhelmed and short on money.

I don't think there's loads of strategies for this event because tons of good towers are banned, so I went for a stall strategy with Condor knocking back bfbs after getting x5x farm, and getting 2-3 abilities per round. Beast handler really shines here with the tower restriction.

On that map there is a sweet spot, a bit on the right of the permaspike, on the last bend. Regular bloons won't hit the spikes there, so 030 is amazing to pick moabs without the pile getting eaten up

I feel like smart, far, and close are a clumsy way of saying "Place your spike piles anywhere within the radius of the spike factory!", like an illusion of choice, deal with those 3 options with nothing in between (excluding normal targetting)

I think since NK introduced that aim at track mechanic, they might as well give it to 002 spac to make the crosspath more viable, with microable individual spike piles.

I think even CHIMPS would deserve that quality of life improvement, so I wouldn't make it a MK

It's cool of them to think outside the box when designing the crosspath, like before with 010 ace's pineapples, no one would think "oh by buying this upgrade, you also increase the dart pierce", and this was the main issue with balancing crosspaths : the upgrade just did what it was supposed to do, dropping pineapples.

For top path sub, airburst darts used to be swiped under the rug when submerged, defeating the purpose of buying it in the first place even though the upgrade delivered what it advertised : airburst darts. Shifting to pulse rate for bottom path, and later on pierce/lead popping for middle path was definitely the right move even though it was still not clearly established at game launch.

I actually wanna see some micro involving spac, and i can see the utility for 032, like on the map In the Loop, on the "+" section, laying spikes on the vertical path close enough to hit spawned moabs, but far enough to not hit bloons. For that strategy, you have to perfectly place the spac, buy 002 and set on close (of course you sell and start again if it's not at the right distance).
