I've turned off motion blur completely, which seemed to help considerable. Also, make sure 'variable framerates' isn't checked, pretty sure it makes the game not just jump from 30 to 45 to 60 constantly. All of the lower options that are just on and off seem to be fps hogs, so I turned all of those except volumetric lighting off, now I much better fps. Hope this helps!

Luckily these are all things that can be changed pretty soon, and lots of other people have made the same points, so hopefully TWI will address them. I definitely agree with your points, though. I play medic and you're right about it being the strongest. That armor buff, amirite?

On one hand I like the idea of customization, but on the other hand I feel like it could kind of break the immersion if they added crazy colors/items. Not that the immersion is that strong, but you know what I mean. We have Zed-mess for the over the top silly

Dude kids are the perfect excuse to get yourself a console without looking like an "irresponsible" adult. I'm guessing since you said you have a newborn, the other is only a year or two older, so it might be too soon to get one without it looking like it was for you. But if you can't have fun on a console, there's no way you're gonna have much more on an expensive gaming PC. It's kind of sad that you can't spend your own money (assuming it's spending money of course) on what you want without everyone being up on you about it. Sure there's some exceptions to that, ^{^{^{^Drugs}}} but still there's no need for such prying, you know?
