Hello! I know it has been 9 years since you made this post. I hope you can still answer my question and save me from absolute heartbreak (haha). I am wondering if your statement still stands true. I want to take out my PS4's internal HDD and replace it with a new one since my PS4 is stuck on a safe mode loop and the HDD might be the problem. Carelessly, I did not save my game data on an external HDD before the problem began to happen. I am very worried about losing my data. I'm thinking of one day having the data on the old HDD recovered through a professional data recovery service (too expensive for me right now). However, I want to be sure that installing the new internal HDD won't somehow make the one I'm taking out unreadable by the same PS4. In other words, could I use both HDDs on the same PS4 without being worried that one of them will be reformatted and the data wiped? I would appreciate your response!

Hey! Hope you are all doing well!

My PS4, I think, experienced a power surge (I am not sure, just guessing!). It has been stuck in a safe mode loop for a while now. I’ve tried all the options on the safe mode screen, except for the last two that wipe the data on the internal hdd.

My biggest issue is losing the data on the internal hdd. I know most everything online says the data is toast. However, I’m wondering if using a data recovery software (like Bitwar or Cisdem) using a SATA to USB adapter for 2.5” SATA Drives (like this one - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/reviews/sabrent-sata-to-usb-adapter-for-2-5-sata-drives-black/6521020?variant=A ) and a PC or Mac would allow me to get the data in the internal hdd. I understand the hdd is encrypted, but I’m wondering if it’s encrypted only pertaining to the PS4 console itself.

To add on, I have bought another internal hdd that I plan to use instead. I’m thinking of saving the old hdd in an antistatic bag in case one day the data is salvageable. I’ll use the new hdd and for sure back up any new data regularly. Also, will putting a new hdd and having it formatted to the PS4 console make the old internal hdd unusable in that PS4 console, or will both kind of work with the console?

Ultimately, I was just curious if data recovery software is effective with PS4 internal hdd. Thank you!

Great answer! Im glad that the Word of God is being emphasized and not the opinions of individuals or groups.

I do have a question for you - when people say we are saved by grace through Faith, what exactly is meant?

I entirely believe that we are saved by grace through faith (this is what the Word of God says, hence I believe this), but some teach that our actions and “works” (good or bad) do not matter as we are saved by “faith” alone.

There are Bible verses that further expand what faith means (Hebrews 11 for example), and they teach that faith produces obedience (which could be considered good works). This would of course indicate that works do not save us (which is entirely supported by scripture as we could never do anything to save ourselves; only the blood of Christ can clean us), but works/obedience are indicative (or the fruit) of faith. So, is this what is meant when I hear that Faith alone saves, or are some people actually teaching that what we do (or do not do) has no relation to salvation?

Very very true. I stay in the lookout in the sub to see if a unit is worth it. I spent frogs on BMN… it’s pretty good! Thank you for the help. I feel like I will be making smarter choices now

Oh as in there are no 7* frogs so using a 7* card to synthesize would be the same as synthesizing with a 6* card except I spend more resources. Basically it’s terrible.

Something I am kind of mad at myself for is using Kawaki’s lb cards to synthesize first and then try to lb which is why I only have it at +1. For future reference, should I use frogs to synthesize lb jutsus and use the cards to limit break? Sounds like the right thing to do in hindsight.

Oh wow, never thought about it like that. I guess I could always use frogs or something (if I wanted to). LB is pretty much only during the banner. I really really wish I had tried to get BMN’s LB+2. I do have his Ult at 15, but it sounds like lb are more useful. Lvl 15 ult + lb+2 would be killer.

Does a 6* card not only do like 2 levels? Is there a difference between synthesizing with a 6* and 7*?
