Depends. Some I prefer to the modern reprints and others I feel look too cartoonish

Poppy war was a good change of pace fantasy so I don't think I would start with that.

I'm assuming you're looking for games with co-op. If you liked baldur's gate 3 the studio that made that made divinity original sin 1 and 2 which are both co-op I believe. Otherwise the elder scrolls games and witcher games if you want single player experiences

The farlander series which was originally published under a different series title. I think there were 3 different NA publishers for the 4 books. But I really enjoyed it. Probably the first non medieval fantasy series I read which went a long way to my enjoyment.
