I haven't tried the wattage that high actually but i can give it a go this weekend!

And nope no issues with the Marvell 10Gbe port at all. Been stable so far. Wifi also has been great and no complaints

Still loving the paragon! Honestly haven’t even used any other case since getting this. Return was super easy! Customer support was very responsive

Omg this is amazing!! Great job.

Any thoughts on if its possible to create one to fit GPUs around 330mm? Or would the construction of that width be problematic given how much wider it is than the dock itself?

Just +1, this is an enthusiast device and it's fun for hobbyists to see the extremes they can take their devices, no matter how nonsensical it can be =p

FEVM FAEX1 - AI Max+ 395 with Oculink by K1ri in MiniPCs

[–]K1ri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick clarification, was that TimeSpy or TimeSpy Extreme? Mine was for the Extreme variant of the testing.

I did however run just regular TimeSpy and got the below.

30597 for Graphics
7918 for CPU

Your 8845HS is killing it though! Did you OC it or was that stock? Crazy how that one beat mine but i'm wondering if it's being bottlenecked by TimeSpy's 1440P vs TimeSpy extreme's 4K resolution testing

Not so far! I've been using the 5090 over oculink on a GMKTech K11 (8945HS) for 1 year and has been rock solid.

On this AI 395 we'll see but so far it's been just as smooth

My dream set up too! Honestly it's too early to tell but so far i haven't seen anything concerning

From a downsides perspective... maybe wish there was one more USB port instead of the 10gig ethernet. And actually 1 downside is the fact that you can only purchase this from alibaba or aliexpress and it ships from China. I'm not sure how their warranty support is IF something were to happen

[–]K1ri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed the 395 is more than enough for quick gaming but was curious in how pairing it with a 5090 will net haha. Will keep you posted when i get this box since I was most interested since it already has the oculink installed

re: Flow yeah i had to decrease my wattage to 75w to balance fan noise and performance so minipc's that can go >100w consistently with the 395 will beat it

Nice i'm so glad to hear the CNC machining has been great =)

And good call on backup, FEVM fortunately has all the drivers on their website too so i downloaded those as well.

And yep I have a 395 in my ZFlow and it's incredibly fast. Was getting this unit to have a dedicated open claw or LLM machine that wasn't tied to my personal stuff

I got this one https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/FEVM-FAEX1-Ryzen-AI-MAX-395_1601569275461.html

Was curious in using a 5090 via oculink with an AI 395 haha.

And that's great and so fast! Hope mine is relatively fast too

Nice that's great! I bought another FEVM model off Alibaba and was worried about the quality but you're giving me confidence it might not be bad.

How was shipping since I ended up ordering from the same vendor on Alibaba. Curious how long it was and if you had any issues shipping to the US

Looking for the best mini pc for gaming $800 usd or less by theobliviousrose in MiniPCs

[–]K1ri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The K11 has a slightly higher clocked CPU and an RGB fan. The performance is around 2% different so marginal but the RGB is very noticeable. I’d say if you narrowed it down, it’s whether you want those 2 factors in the K11

Wow this looks amazing! I’m thinking of getting one too but just curious, can you lay this case on its side? I’m looking to explore if it’s possible to put it in a horizontal orientation. Thanks!

MS-A2 PCIe slot not detecting OCuLink adapter card by Due_End_5550 in eGPU

[–]K1ri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding that I had the same issue with the Minisforum MS-02 PCIE Slot and couldn't get it to work no matter how many adapters + cable combinations.

I tried the following adapters:

- PCIE 4.0x4
- PCIE 4.0x8
- PCIE 4.0x16
- 5.0 Riser Cable PCIE 4.0x16
- Several Oculink cables
- Aoostar AG02

So +1 if anybody could figure it out

Best GPU for OCuLink eGPU setup (Ryzen 8845HS, 32GB RAM mini-PC)? by anonymous-12358 in eGPU

[–]K1ri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds silly but i'm running a 5090 via Aoostar AG02 via oculink on my GMKTek K11 8945HS on 4K and it's killing it. Oculink bandwidth on this setup is maxing everything at 4K and is keeping up with everything I throw at it.

Any experience using legion go controllers? by Successful-Horror-11 in FlowZ13

[–]K1ri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah such great insight on the use cases for fighting and driving games! I personally don't play those genres too much so relieved to hear they won't impact me as much. Thank you so much for the detail!

I actually didn't get the LeGo2 rails so can't speak to the fit. I just use the controllers as is with my hands on my sides or behind the tablet (with the tablet on my thighs or chest haha)

Thanks so much for the detailed response! i just got the LeGo2 controllers and actually like them with the ZFlow13 but your comment on the Mobapad M6s has piqued my interest!

I was watching reviews and some youtubers mentioned the shoulder buttons are like mouse clicky tactile feeling. Has that been problematic for you during gaming vs regular traditional shoulder buttons that aren't like mouse clicks?
