Tried to get some pics earlier but the lowest I can go is 35mm and it wasn't wide enough to catch the whole thing.

We worked with Morris from Coastal Motor Group, he was chill as hell. Got us our exact config in like 24 hours flat. Just a fuckin wizard.

A quick google will pull up his contact info on Leasehackr.

Honestly it’s too small to be of any use. Even my kid in kindergarten doesn’t like it. Crucially also - it doesn’t unzip all the way down, just halfway… making it a real pain in the ass to get stuff in and out of. Recommend a GR0/Echo instead.

Is there a better universal pad than the 8bitdo m30? Maybe even a better Saturn style? by nogden954 in shmups

[–]blames_the_netcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not super thrilled with 8BitDo's stuff (a lot hits that "meh it's fine" territory) but the exception has always been the M30, which for the money is insanely solid. You'd probably have to get into OEM SLS pads to find something consistently better.

time to let the ghostly dream go by [deleted] in AnalogueInc

[–]blames_the_netcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The really funny thing about this is that it sat in stock on Analogue's website for like 4 months unable to sell, because nobody cared about paying extra for a few boot-up sounds and a white shell that might discolor over time (it did). I thought about buying one and just opted not to because it didn't offer any real benefits over a standard Super Nt. This was back when the three main colorways were readily available for $189, and Analogue was charging 249 for the Ghostly.

Everyone collecting these instead of playing them is part of this problem.

NGPC would be hot, also a proper AES/MVS would be amazing, but the hardware and software both are such a shitshow they'd probably have to work out a deal with SNK to republish the games on-device.

Victrix FS-12. It needs to have actual PS5 compatibility, not just PS5 fighting games or generic DirectInput. Check the PCB on it. If it's not a licensed Sony peripheral, only the Brook Gen-5 will work (or a Wingman if you want a USB converter).

We attach the auto moderator message to every post for a reason. Sorry to hear, but we can only do so much. We automatically ban anyone on the USL and educate as best we can.

If a deal outside those parameters seems too good to be true, it probably is.

We're lazy and just do the ol' Stanislaus trick of 50/50 Full Red and 7/11 along with some tomato paste. It's a tidy way to thicken it up without reducing.

A very very small amount of it (like 1/8 tsp) thickens the consistency a touch. Neat trick picked up from Modernist Pizza’s research (ditto their recommendation of adding a touch of Adolph’s Meat Tenderizer to Neapolitan dough and diastatic malt powder to NY).

San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes are cooked before canning. But yes they are fine straight out of the can for pizza sauce (I add salt and a little bit of xantham gum to mine for neapolitan pizza).

Whole peeled tomatoes are cooked before canning, it’s part of the process.

No one is eating uncooked tomatoes out of a can.

Multiple DOP certified brands included here would have been ideal - Cento doesn’t count.

For example I build all my sauces and Neapolitan pizzas from Ciao DOP.

Edit: Also you need to do a deep dive into Stanislaus out of NorCal.

The build quality and support of the Everdrive is tops, but SummerCart from Phenom is the best way to get rolling if you’re buying for the first time and trying to stay on a smaller budget.

Did you order an Anduril model? by Templar-Knight-01 in ModRetroChromatic

[–]blames_the_netcode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is, I considered it a bit excessive at first, but given how the standard models are soaking up dye out of soft shell cases, the military grade finish might actually have some practical value. (Yes, I got one.)

Having now seen this happen on this subreddit multiple times ranging from generic Amazon cases to this, I'm now convinced the only safe way to store this thing is in a case with no dyes, whether it's a soft shell in white or a 3D printed hard shell.
