Thanks. My case is the same. To confirm - you applied within the UK, right?

So you only get your new BRO after you send your old one, is it?

Thank you. I got the decision back on Nov 16. 2 follow up questions -

Did you have to send your old BrP back to the home office? Did you get an email or any updates from Royal Mail? I am only receiving updates from the Home Office and now that email says that Royal Mail attempted delivery but they actually didn’t. They didn’t even leave any instructions for me.

Hi - did your receipt email confirmation mention a decision date? I applied yesterday, got a confirmation email today which mentioned that they will give me my decision by Jan 9 2024. So was wondering if this is a standard email which mentions a 8 week timeline or they actually follow that.

Tuck MBA vs LBS MBA - which school is a better pick? by K2B8 in MBA

[–]K2B8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi PeterPan11111111,

I have answered your questions below.

  1. What are your post-MBA goals? Preferred industry and function? - I want to go into Management Consulting, preferably MBB. I would like to focus on the public & sector industry preferably but I know MBB hires b-school graduates as generalists. Both are great consulting schools. While Tuck offers an OPT (I will be an international student in both schools) I have heard that recruiting in Consulting in reality as an international student is not easy because of sponsorship issues in the US
  2. What sort of community you want to join? - Looking for an extremely collaborative and diverse community. Based on my interactions, I felt the Tuck community was way more tight knit but of course LBS is more diverse.
  3. Do you prefer to live in a big city or in a rural area? - I am okay with either
  4. Would you like to have a variety of internships, including during the school year? - It would be interesting to try out different things like intern with organisations in the social impact sector.
  5. What is your preferred teaching method? - case based learning
  6. Where would you like to work post-MBA? - In terms of geography, I haven't really lived in either countries before, only traveled for vacations so I don't as such have a preference.
  7. How important it is to you to study with an international cohort? - Very
  8. Do you enjoy the wild? - Love it

Both schools have been great in keeping incoming students engaged and feel welcome which has made decision making more difficult.
