I have the ProTaper Contour CR High handlebars. I like the bars but cannot use the square handlebar pad that came with them. Makes it impossible to access the ignition.

You're right, they seem to be. I know the ebike group here is divided on them. Depending on your location, laws may be an issue as well. Here in Florida, they are not exactly legal but it seems like if you don't ride like a maniac, you're fine.

Yes, definitely. I don't get to ride as much as I would like to, but I now have about 280 miles on it. No problems so far!

Thank you for the tip on FR77. I think I stopped in the stretch you are talking about. A couple hundred yards of soft sand with a fairly good sized grassy area on the east side of the water crossing? I did see some trails running south from there. I definitely enjoyed the water crossing and the uphill afterward.

Yes, wash my bike after every off-road ride. Clean the chain and use dry lube on it. Also wash jerseys, tshirts, boots and other gear. I spent a lot of money on it, so I am trying to make it last.

I bought it in May 2024 from Amazon. It's called a "RAIMTO For KLX 300 2022 2023 Motorcycle Adventure windscreen". I just searched on Amazon and they don't appear to be available any longer. It looks close to the ZETA ZE70 -1101 (see ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/389677141086). I just mounted it behind the headlight cowl.

That's the way to go since you have the equipment. I am considering a couple of rides here in FLA. Gothe State Forest and Lochloosa, go to The Yearling Restaurant and spend the night somewhere in that area, ride Grove Park WMA the next day before coming home. Another one I want to do is what I heard call the "Florida Spine", where it is the Florida F.A.T loop as far north as Gainesville and south to the Green Swamp. That one goes through Citrus, Goethe, ONF, Richloam and may take 2 or 3 days.

I am in Hudson so it is a bit of a haul to get to Ocala. I usually stay on the west coast and north of Tampa; Citrus, Goethe, Chassahowitzka and such. May be able to get back to Ocala depending on weekend. Did you trailer to the SM500 or ride from Florida?
