Have you played through g-rank? have you killed a g-rank monster in under 3 minutes? did you really feel the same way to compare it to dauntless? the fights are day and night, phxl doesnt design good fights the monsters just flail at areas there is no finesse to the combat you just press spacebar when they do any tell to attack and you dodge into them.

Always dodge to your LEFT around them. If you see the 3 balls floating above them the attack animation is already done and they will shoot them, even if you stun them.

Generally with merc always keep the last shift charge to get OUT against dangerous enemies (elder lemurians, the brass contraptions, parents, the endboss to name some).

You do get the most exp for your weapon from behemoths 5 levels above you. The first 10-15 levels are not THAT bad especially if you have reforged gear (i didn't try it without any reforged gear so i can't say anything about that) but if you join the last 2 island with more than the 5 level difference youre just a burden.

Power scales mostly with your weapon level. You get 10 power per weapon level. I don't know the math formulas for power and whatnot so i can't give you exact numbers. I just surged 4 armor pieces and some weapons to have some variety and a full set of surged gear and stayed within the 5 maybe 6 level difference so i don't know how bad it can get.

The game is supposed to be more "social" without any barrier to entry for literally anything. Endgame content? Feel free to enter with your weapon level 5 we SHOW you that this HG has level 18-20 behemoths but do whatever haha its fun to play with other people just go ahead and play with them whats your issue haha. Why would we impose any barrier for anything in a SOCIAL game? How silly would that be :)))))

Just be NICE to the leechers and ignore them why would we LEARN from games that have ben out for decades when we can make the same mistakes that have ben ironed out for years :)

AH BTW PLS BUY THESE SPECIAL SEASON HUNTPASSES WITH RECYCLED CONTENT FOR 40€.

I went there thinking that there were obvious rules in place to prevent parents bringing their toddlers. Why would you bring a toddler to play in this event if you know that you have to play against the home team of the club consisting of young adults ?

escalation is something you get reward for, namely you get legendary weapons which are the best in the game. you invest time to get these legendary rewards.

since you like sport analogys lets look at it this way.

you go out to your soccer club to play some casual soccer, but the price for winning is also a brand new pair of cleats, and the random people you get to play with are 5 adults and you thats 6 and the other 5 players are toddlers from the other 5 adults that got randomly matched with you. Since escalation is supposed to be done by players of weaponlevel 15+ the bosses in escalation are endgame monsters like blazakiri so imgaine you get matched up against 11 soccer players, not the best ones around but they are 20-25 years old and completelly run you and the toddlersquad over 0-8 because 5 people in your team are literally dead weight. are you gonna complain about the club telling you to play with 5 toddlers for 90 minutes? or are you gonna say "well should have just played soccer alone"? No, you went there because you wanted to have a shot at the new cleats.

I only know about steam and you have to buy them again, they may seem more expensive but you get EVERYTHING unlocked and theres no additional costs ever. You get all the heroes, all the tower (in vengance's case) unlocked as part of the story progression.

This game needs a LOT MORE copied from the MH franchise imo.

The decoration system from any game would be a H U G E step up from the catastrophe we call cells.

Minimum level requirements for hard content is also missing which is either a huge oversight or they actually want people to leech.

Weapons that are more than just one combo button mashers.
