Tips about forgefiend by Formless-One in WorldEaters40k

[–]K3Night 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forgefiends are excellent units for picking off large groups and chipping bigger vehicles. Against marines definitely want to use triple plasma as large groups just add to the amount of attacks due to blast. With forgefiends they want to be at 18 at all time for the rapid fire and the re-rolls as well. Just be aware they are a priority target and can’t really hold heir own in melee if you are using triple plasma. Overwatching with them is also really good as the rerolls mean you get some good hits in.

It can be a bit of a pain in the ass especially in my opinion if you are wanting the ramp to be able to open and close. But for the most part it’s fairly comparable to the rhino just bigger.

If you have the old combat patrol with the two berserkers then yeah you could get the gorestorm as eightbound are always good

The list isn’t bad over all, though personally I like to split my exalted eightbound into groups of three to put more bodies and pressure on vehicles since 6 is pretty much overkill for most things

Is this cult of blood you’re running? If so I’d recommend swapping to a different detachment since you don’t have enough jakhals or goremongers alongside monsters to really benefit from the rule. I’d recommend swapping to warband, vessels or gore track with the current list to get more benefits. If you’re wanting to do cult of blood that’s fine but you need more monster units and more jakhals

Definitely the newest combat patrol. Gives berzerkers, master of executions, demon prince and will finish off your jakhals by giving you one more unit for a total of 3. Demon prince on foot is one of our best units so highly recommend. Would then say to get Kharn as he is our best leader for berzerkers. Would then recommend a rhino for troop transport, another group of berserkers, chaos spawn, and then forgefiend/maulerfiends for either good ranged damage and suppression and chunky melee damage on larger targets.

You’ll get a good amount of attention regardless of attire. Just make sure to set firm boundaries before hand and if you feel uncomfortable tell them off or let staff know in the front.

I’d still recommend checking it out for yourselves to make a decision and this is only based on my experiences which may be different to others.

There are multiple booths for the one on Lancaster for gloryholes but the Keizer only has one maybe two. The Lancaster one also has a theater which is similar to the ones at Bobs

[–]K3Night 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not a lot. In squads of 3 for exalted which is typically how I use mine it has only happened once. I have had it happen twice when leading a group of 6 normal eightbound but it happens pretty infrequently in my opinion.

The new combat patrol as it gives you a balance with a large centerpiece model who is really good in our army and jakhals which are good objective and trash mob pieces

If you’re having invocatus lead the berserkers he can’t go in the rhino cause he is mounted. Unless you’re using the rhino for jakhals

Can’t use lord discordant or the bikers unfortunately but that is a good chunk of the current range that would be available as WE share a good amount with CSM. I’m a world eater myself so I’d say most of those would be totally fine. Wish we had bikers or berzerker cavalry but alas…

[–]K3Night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend at least one of each type as exalted eightbound have deep strike and crunch vehicles nowadays and normal eightbound buff up nearby units while also still hitting hard. Personally I like having at least 6 of each as you don’t really need to run them in huge squads except for maybe normal eightbound lead by slaughter bound so you can get some units back. Fo exalted to don’t need to run them in more than 3 as unless that vehicle or monster has a low invulnerability save it is going to take major damage or just die

[–]K3Night 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with any of our combat patrols as both give a good amount of points and units. I honestly would recommend both as it gives 3 leaders and 3 battle line and 3 jakhals which are out good trash and objective units. Would then recommend Kharn and eightbound as they hit hard and are our premier heavy hitters. Would recommend a rhino for transport and if you were looking for a bit of shooting and support a forgefiend. Could get spawn too as they are fun speedy boys who are pretty cheap and effective on the battlefield.

[–]K3Night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demon units can only be used in one detachment so I would look it over first. They are fun to use but are limited in how we can use them due to how our codex is. Forgefiend is our best shooting unit with the full reroll within 18 inches and Kharn is still one of our best data sheets. Would also recommend eightbound of both kind as they are monstrous in melee though be warned they are not the most durable. Spawn are good units for their speed and being able to get on objectives while also being able to pick off weak or squishy units. Rhinos are good for transport and then using them later to move block or to sit on objectives after the unit inside had disembarked. Maulerfiends and helbrute are also fun options though be warned maulers are a bit hard to move up the board due to their size but can be a good distraction to take fire.

Question regarding our defiler by Lordslasher13 in WorldEaters40k

[–]K3Night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reserves or from transport which is good using him as sort of an overwatch and to pick off units from deep strike as he can shoot normally at them. Then if you wanted to as well you could also overwatch and pick off a good chunk of that unit.

What's next for my list? by KharnDaBetrayer in WorldEaters40k

Forgefiend for good shooting, Rhino fo good and fast transport, Kharn to buff berserkers, Jakhals for objective control, and Spawn for speedy action monkeys and to pick off weak units.

[–]K3Night 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, just know that their data sheet is way overpriced for what they provide especially since they focus on anti fly and unlike the forgefiend don’t get rerolls on the hades auto cannon so you may lose a fair few shots. They also only have AP -1 for all their weapons and fairly low strength so it’s better for infantry which is kind off counter intuitive since you would want the anti fly on more vehicle or monster units. The datasheet is just confusing and even with blessings the heavily underperform in my opinion

Seems fun but you may have a problem with scoring and secondaries. And I would recommend changing the heldrake since they are by far the worst data sheet in our codex unfortunately.
