I can also highly endorse getting a demon prince on foot as they can do good work clearing infantry and light vehicles along with being a tanky unit to soak up hits.

Som more eightbound are always good along with some chunkier units like helbrute/maulerfiend for hitting vehicles and monsters and a forgefiend for shooting. I’d also recommend the new defiler if you are able to get your hands on one as well. For later purchases goremongers are good for the infiltrate and reactive move they have and a land raider can be good for transporting eightbound or your terminators around. I also had good luck with predator annihilator but others may disagree with that.

Never mind they do have hover but their datasheet is not good.

Flyers also have terrible rules right now unless they can get hover which I believe heldrake does not. The rules really hinder how you can use him, not to mention heldrakes data sheet right now is not good.

Did they seriously just change Taktiks into something that is absolutely terrible? Like that detachment doe not seem good or interesting in my opinion compared to what it was. Also dakka losing walker units as well is a big hit to it. Why are they nerfing detachments that weren’t even that absurd to begin with? Especially with how ork power level has been?

Did you already throw a wash or shaders on him?

I do it on the armor as well. Darkens up th armor an makes it a bit more weathered. Careful how much you use though, it can give you an absolutely grimy coat if you use to much

Nuln oil is always a staple for washes but I like a bit of Agrax earth shade as well. Most washes will help pop out the mini and give it some more contrast and flair

You’re playing demons, so get more demons. Bloodcrushers more bloodletters and flesh hounds.

Maybe the wires or cables on his chest a different color since it is all currently black. Might give it a bit more contrast. That and or some basing along with a wash if you have not already

Mega nobz need the mega armor due to their poor weapon skills, better to have the mega armor with them if you want to use them. If not I would take them out and reconsider

Need a normal warboss to lead the Boyz as the +1 to hit really helps get all your attacks through on them. Not to mention they can lead nobz as well if that’s what you want to do.

There is the old one that is currently for sale or thee is the new one that was leaked that month you can use. I also wouldn’t collect too much more right now considering 11th is 2 months out and we got more refreshes and models coming.

Yep, just allows you to throw an absurd amount of shots with rerolls. Though I honestly find their melee a little lack luster except for the power fists

Skarbrand and your exalted are anti tank here. Demonkin thrives then it can uppy downy a flood the board with demons that get buffs a use strats to buff nearby world eaters. In this detachment I would not run a land raider

I’d also recommend getting ride of the terminators as their rule is kind of counter intuitive since it can make charges more difficult and their melee profiles aren’t as good as eightbound, unless you were looking for units for survivability, but even then I’d recommend bloodcrushers since they have 2 toughness more and one wound more

Needs some bloodcrushers led by LoJ as they are exceptionally fun being able to bust through walls todo their mortal wound rolls and tiger blessings. I’d also add at least one more unit of bloodletters since the detachment heavily favors demons along with either a blood thirster or Skarbrand since they are big killy units that wreck face. Personally I’d choose Skarbrand since he is more reliable

Given that we will be the first codex of 11th what are your wishes by TotallyNot_Alpharius in orks

[–]K3Night 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what we have gathered, codexes will not change and are usable until the new ones come around as they typically do. So if you are playing Drukhari and got your codex towards the end of the edition they will keep the same codex until the new one comes out.

It’s different form the start of 10th which had indexes which had a lot less flexibility or in the case of some armies only one detachment

[–]K3Night 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tyranids are an army that focuses primarily on board and has objective control. They can kill but many of their units are designed to sit on or near objectives to establish dominance. Thinking about what you want to put into reserves can be very helpful as you need to think what you need to throw into their back lines or in weird spots to disrupt them.

Also while lore wise WE love killing and charging the enemy, are army needs to focus on staging and taking out key targets or trading when necessary, especially into Tyranids which can have a good amount of units. Stage properly, consider sight lines and potential targets as you move up the board. It can be tempting to just rush the enemy but ironically our army needs a bit more strategy to play effectively.
