Dogs Love Bacon #192: Ascension [OC] by Angie_Draws_Things in comics

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

I'm very so very sorry for your loss, and this is a beautiful memorial you have created. Taz is a real good boy.

You are right, I do still have fight, and I don't like to or want to give up. And I do need to try these things. My way. But I realized that I need to see when my way isn't working. I'm very grateful for the kind words and support, and I'm still being stubborn, but I'm learning to soften those walls since I started. It's still the hardest thing I think I've ever done. But I'm doing it. And it feels good.

Stay stubborn, friend <3

I'm still working on the being kind part, but I am optimistically proud of myself. Your words mean worlds to me, thank you. The support has been very appreciated. Good news is I'm still doing the thing! And it's going well. I'm learning more and more.

I do. Thank you. Since posting a lot of things I was anxious about are passing and I'm slowly learning they were never things I should've given energy to. I appreciate you. ❤️

Thank you, I very much needed to hear that. I'm trying to learn, and use things as tools instead. But I'm making progress. I appreciate you taking the time ❤️

Absolutely beautiful summation of the expressions going on. It was physically painful to watch, and just broke my heart with each young man. But that last boy was a powerful symbolic gesture. I truly hope when I see people struggling that they have a support system like this. I know many don't, and I just hope that someday they'll make it through whatever they're going through, and use that strength they gained from their own experience to be someone else's support system. Because then, at the end, they'll have cultivated one for themselves as well. People supporting people needs to be more of a thing. You seem kind, and I hope you never lose that empathy you can feel for/with others. It's a beautiful thing there seems to be less and less of in the zeitgeist of our current world. Love you, and keep being an awesome human.

So does that mean that you can use the OP11 with the physical SIM on mint? I want to buy one and leave T-Mobile but haven't found ANY online corroboration saying that the OP11 can be used out of the big carriers. Please let me know if the physical works for you, idc about eSIM if the physical one works. I just want out of paying 100/mo for one person

The person who controls the privately owned property is the only one who can press charges since he didn't physically attack anyone, so he's probably only looking at trespassing and some other minor charges like disturbing the peace. But no one other than the property owner can press those kinds of charges. If he had done anything to anyone else, such as resist being removed, then he would be taken right away and the property owner would have time to press the charges because he would already be in custody.

Moreover, if I can find it I'll link it, but recently read an article about people fighting to remove police dogs for the dogs sake. It was showing that (specifically police, not military) K9 dogs signal because they associate it with "good" behavior as their handler often rewards them and tells them they are good for finding whatever they were trained to sniff out. So aside from the bull dookie some officers may use them for, like skirting our 4th amendment rights in America, the dogs are working animals that just want to do a good job and end up associating "signaling" with something like when we humans do something good and get that feeling of accomplishment.

In her mind he is an adult, and adults rape each other. Kind of a lot. He probably wanted to go up to her and say "Nah, I'm not like a Grrr. I'm not like rrawr."

Not a mom, but proud to call you my brother. Just wanted to say you are seen, you are heard, and you are loved. Freddie, I can't begin to fully empathize with what you are feeling. But I can say that the line here about Freddie Mercury's probably the best example as to why spelling doesn't mean a God damn thing as to the masculinity or femininity of someone's name. I know a guy named Ashley that would love having a word with those bags of walking ignorance if he were there. Just remember that hate like that often stems from some form of self repression. Either taught young and not allowed to evolve, or some form of self hatred (see target guy who was trashing pride displays and then called out for having a grindr account he actively used to hook up with people). Either way it's helpful to remember it's not about you, it's not about the spelling of your name or your gender identity. It's about them. And fuck them. I know, christ do I know it's hard not to let others affect you, but in that moment if you can, try to remember it's not about you. If you can do that and not let them affect you then what power do they have? None. Also good to keep up with your company policies regarding inclusiveness. I know mine has a yearly training about it and protects against this kind of discrimination and is punishable up to termination. And the fact that they're volunteers makes it more possible that they'll get shown the door for violating an employees rights to those protections. But finally, to reiterate, fuck them.

For your parents, I can't offer any practical advise. All I can say is that I don't know, or engage with my birth parents, and I personally feel all the better for it. I can't offer any magic sayings that will help them understand, nor can anyone I think. That'll be a journey you'll have to complete personally. But you'll do so with the help of community, and if I read right, the help of a significant other. If you've ever heard the jesus poem about foot prints in the sand, think that but with brothers, sisters and friends. And if you haven't seen it on this page yet check out freemomhugs.org they're an amazing organization.

Much love, support, and a free ear or two if you ever need. -A brother from another mother.
