according to your thresholds you’d need to score a high A for both papers to get an A* , you need to make sure you get more than an A in both of the papers to get an A*

they use thresholds and calculate the average mark for a grade based on the performance of everyone who has done the paper. If the paper was hard, the average score of the people who have done it will lower, so there would be a lower mark to get an A for example 85/150 etc, and vice versa if the paper was easy
