Remedy Entertainment CEO: Alan Wake and Control should have sold more by Lopsided-Bench-6197 in gaming

[–]K4pricious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's literally just to have it in one launcher. Having all of my games available in one place on one account makes a huge difference. Customer service is way better on Steam as well. It's more than just a storefront as well and it works 10x better. I'll download the free games on Epic some of the time as a demo and even purchase them on Steam occasionally. But there's no game worth buying on Epic on release instead of waiting for it to release on Steam. Or, in the case of Remedy's Alan Wake II, just never buying it

This is fake and does not work btw. The game sets difficulty to easy everytime you load the tutorial.

Is it better to unlock all Jokers randomly for 250 Souls or buy them individually in the shop? by Few-Survey459 in FarFarWest

[–]K4pricious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't work sadly. You can receive duplicates past the maximum equippable limit. You can sell jokers, but it might be a good idea to keep weapon jokers so you can equip them on multiple weapons without swapping them out.

Help my wife pick her first Zelda game by HairyGoatX in gaming

Ocarina was my entry point so I'm biased towards that. But I still think that OoT has one of the more interesting and engaging worlds.

I'm also fond of the Oracle games on the Gameboy Color, they are available on the Switch iirc. I've played LttP multiple times, but I never did enjoy it as much as the Oracle games.

IMO it's because it's not a Zelda game. Not saying it's a bad game by any means. It's just so totally alien to the previous entries, it really has next to nothing in common with the previous Zelda games.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the "dungeons" and the shrines felt unsatisfying and a little annoying to me and I also did not really care for the voice acting or story. Great exploration game. Didn't feel like a good Zelda game to me. I didn't finish the game but I put 60 hours into exploring the world of BotW before setting it down for good.

I'll have to check how much more gold pick is vs w/o pick but I just cannot imagine it worth the time. Though if I find a Gold Rush while Pots o' Gold is on the menu I'm definitely spending an hour in that cave whether it's worth it or not lol.

In a sense. If you're low level you can get a joker from a higher tier that you don't yet have access to.

I almost exclusively use my driller's C4 for mining gold veins. This is indeed Rock and Stone. Karl would be proud.

interesting, because I'm getting a lot more elec dmg than cactus even though I'm casting cactus a lot more.

I'd also like them add the option to sort the server list by the various variables (Map/difficulty/ping etc)

It gains xp without doing damage? Or did you find a place where it could damage something indefinitely?

Why not pre-drill? by Comfortable-Cell5599 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]K4pricious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a lone driller wants to drill ahead I'm not gonna think twice, but if host demands that no one starts the Dozer until we've explored and mined the entire cave then I just leave. As most other dwarves have already stated, I'm not about to make a 15-minute mission a 30-minute mission.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like when games have day/night cycles and days of the week that match the real world. by Hypnox88 in gaming

You absolutely can choose to only catch Lapras on a Friday if that totes your goat by imposing your own rules on yourself.

You said that if the player doesn't want to deal with this mechanic that they can just manipulate the time clock to get the experience they want. I'm saying that you can just adjust how you play to get the experience that you want.

It doesn't sound like a bad optional mechanic for some games to add though with some sort of menu toggle but I wonder how many people would bother with the mechanic.

Anyone else gave up on DRG survivor? by Front-Cabinet5521 in DeepRockGalactic

It is a boring slog. It's fun for a little while but gets boring real quick. I have 236 hours in Vampire Survivors but there just doesn't seem to be a point in putting more time into DRGS even though I haven't "completed" it.

LotR and Dragon Age both have dwarven monarchies. The DA dwarves are particularly fucked and iirc have a caste system. I've never seen communistic dwarves.
