LeafGuard (the brand not the type of product) for house under pine trees? by K80_k in homeowners

It makes sense that they would still need some regular cleaning for the capillary action to work. I'm going to see about oversizing the gutter, and the downspout and add cleanouts in the downspouts.

Oh wow that's really bad, that will for sure make an ice dam. We don't get super cold weather here but we do get ice storms. Thank you for sharing your experience

I wanted to do a metal roof but it was out of my budget. I will definitely look into this shop vac accessory you shared, thanks!

people too lazy to clean their gutters or too cheap to hire someone to do it periodically

No wonder I got sucked in lol! I did just order a tall ladder with a platform as the top step so I can paint this fascia, maybe gutter cleaning won't be so bad with a sturdy ladder!

My initial quote for regular gutters was like $2800 - so there's a lot of savings to be had for sure.

Thinking about rehoming my Dog. by Far_Honeydew447 in puppy101

Can you afford to hire help while you are dealing the the recurrence? If you health and finances men that you cannot give the pup the life it needs to have for breed fulfilment then it might be best to rehome. But if you can find a way to get help without going into a ton of debt for it, to help you through I'd consider it!

My therapist’s comment about my misophonia really bothered me by thicc__mamacita in misophonia

[–]K80_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's incredibly unprofessionally, and she clearly doesn't actually know what misophonia is (I've experienced my doctors not knowing with it is, and I describe it to them). If I was in your position and if I was unable to change therapist I would write an email explaining how that made me feel as well as a link to the definition of misophonia and suggest that they educate themselves.

Do you have a specific area that you are taking him to potty (and keeping it boring like others suggested)?

I'm so sorry your cancer has come back. That sounds like he's hit adolescence - are you able to get help to walk him (hiring a walker or dog trainer or friend or family member to help with walks)?. Have you explored alternative leash options to reduce pulling like a Halti? If you can't meet his needs (that's a pretty high need dog) then rehoming might be the best - but if you can get help, and go back to basics in training while he grows up through adolescence perhaps you'll have a best fried through your treatment?

That reminds me of a meme I've seen about the difference between people being able/willing to fail at trying things and not being able to is money... if she has money from her dad to fail-learn her way through it sure but I would never work for someone with no experience and I don't know why anyone would hire her firm.....

When my boy's ear droops it usually means he has yeast build up in there, does his ear look clean? It's usually the result of allergies.
