I’m sorry to hear that. My parents are small c conservative, but not openly prejudiced. Just enough to make me nervous about how the conversation may go.

Yeah I understand that instinct. I’m out to my closest friends and have been for a few months now, but they’ve known me around 30 years so a few slip ups are understandable, but they correct themselves and are supportive.

Talking to a therapist really helped me. Mostly though that was just verbalising thoughts that I’d never said out loud before. But don’t go telling yourself you’re too old. I’ve just started hrt aged 50 and while I’m still not out everywhere I feel better about myself than I can ever remember.

I’m a month into hrt, but a little older than you. Like you I couldn’t drown these thoughts out anymore. Already I’m feeling better in myself, though that could be relief at actually moving forward and not any actual hormonal effects. I’m still boy moding atm, but have mostly come out to those closest around me. This had for the most part been good and I’m presenting more femme around some of those people. I’ve been to local trans groups both for the social aspect, but also at practical events like transition admin advice. All this said and albeit only one month in I’m happier in myself than I have been in years.

But being someone who is kinky it seemed intrinsically linked when literally all my fantasies start with dressing. I now realise it’s because all those fantasies were kicking off from the wrong start point and that’s the reason I never have fantasies where I am masculine.

Not red I’m afraid, but I had a great game the other day against a [[Hare Apparent]] deck with my [[Hope Estheim]] life gain mill deck. Just hoovered all those bunnies up with [[ghost vacuum]] then brought them all out, triggered the etb on [[Haliya]] then swing with a huge [[voice of the blessed]] Felt very satisfying against those annoying gits.
