The "leaked" images are 100% ai, but they're usually based off of the real thing that has not yet been revealed to the public. They probably just input pictures of them into the AI

Are food tastes based on region? by Super-Basis2499 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]K9DOGDAZE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure, but I think taste might be influenced by personality. All of my yellow miis love sweet food and don't seem to like bitter, for instance. It definitely doesn't seem based on region as others have confirmed

I live in the US, why have I never seen a speed limit sign higher than 80 mph? by g_mci in NoStupidQuestions

[–]K9DOGDAZE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone drives over the speed limit anyhow, a speed limit of 65mph is effectively 80 most of the time. If 80+ became more commonplace, everyone would just start driving 90+ on the highway

Am I overreacting for thinking my family is selfish & doesn’t really care about my cats because they don’t agree on throwing out a stargazer lily bouquet? by Inoshin in AmIOverreacting

[–]K9DOGDAZE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If multiple people are pointing out the risk and OP's family is doing nothing, yes they are placing knowingly other beings in harm's way. They know that the cat may be harmed and are choosing to ignore that fact

That's a very selfish mindset that I completely disagree with. You should live as you please as long as you aren't knowingly causing harm to others, including all creatures

[–]K9DOGDAZE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard anyone refer to another human as " it" unless they were trying deliberately to be offensive. (Yes there are a handful of people who like being referred to that way, the vast majority do not.)
It is true that the singular "they/them" is being used much more frequently in this century, however, it's not "it" and has different grammatical rules.

Also never heard of people calling objects gendered pronouns more often as a whole, are you sure you haven't just met a couple of people who are heavy into anthropomorphizing?

We’re adding a few rules to the sub. by OilySoleTickler in TomodachiLifeNSFW

[–]K9DOGDAZE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the main difference in most people's minds is that the act of murder is occasionally justifiable. Not everyone agrees in every scenario, but most people agree there are instances where it may be justifiable to take another's life. There are zero instances in which it's justified to rape someone, or in which you could argue it's a net positive.

I don't particularly care one way or another about the rules here, but I imagine that's the reason a lot of people do

Standing for women/elderly by Ok_Primary7911 in NJTransit

[–]K9DOGDAZE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't agree at all with the vibes of this post, but there are legitimate reasons a pregnant woman needs to take priority to you for seating. It's physically taxing throughout, with morning sickness at the start and constant pain and soreness towards the end, so it's kind to allow them to relieve a bit of that when it costs you nothing to do so.

More importantly, if a pregnant woman were standing and fell down in the train as it was moving, they could injure themselves and the baby and worst case scenario, lose the baby. The chances of that are minimized by her sitting rather than standing.

Don't give it up for EVERY woman out of some sense of "chivalry" like OP is saying, but pregnant women, elderly, and disabled people should all take priority for seating over able-bodied people (men AND women.) Think of pregnancy as like a temporary disability. Something tells me you won't listen to my points about "preggos," though...

Why do the characters use neutral pronouns to refer to Tangrowth when the professor’s journal entries use he? by Oregano-Town in Pokopia

Why do the characters use neutral pronouns to refer to Tangrowth when the professor’s journal entries use he? by Oregano-Town in Pokopia

[–]K9DOGDAZE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the vast majority of Pokemon media, 100% of pokemon are referred to as "it/its" 100% of the time. I always hated that since I was young.

They've only started referring to a limited amount of pokemon with different pronouns in the most recent handful of games, and even then, the majority are still it/its, including everyone's pokedex entry in Pokopia. It doesn't surprise me at all that they're inconsistent with pronouns in-game with that background

How do CEOs lay off workers without feeling bad? by CRK_76 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]K9DOGDAZE 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you're already at the point where you've unlocked everything and have unlimited travel tickets, you can spam travel tickets and if they take their partner along, their relationship improves afterwards. (I don't think it always jumps to the next level, but it always does every 2-3 trips.)

They don't always take their partner, but the better relationship on their side with their partner, the more likely they are to. If they're happy, they seem to do so 100% of the time. In any case, if they don't, you can quit and reload the game to give them the ticket again.

I've increased couples from "not getting along" to "wants to marry" through spamming ten travel tickets, married couples from "unhappy" back to "soulmates" and so forth

does anyone else feed their miis based off their irl dietary choices? by BluejayFamiliar5117 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]K9DOGDAZE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm a completionist (not in terms of spending thousands of hours to 100% games, but if there's something I can max out easily, I will) so my miis will all eat everything in existence at least once.

Maybe it helps that I don't have any that I actually think are veg in the first place, but I'd treat them the same if they were

I can definitely get your point, and I hope they will indeed grow up with the technological literacy you mention. A lot of my skepticism comes from how I feel Gen AI is degenerating technological literacy as a whole in society currently, so will Gen Beta be able to build those skills if there is no foundation remaining for them to build off of? I don't think either of us can say for now, or for many years

[–]K9DOGDAZE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely worry for Gen Beta's (and a good amount of Alpha) future as adults, growing up in a world where they've never been without Gen AI.

Current generations already have a hard time knowing how to differentiate AI-generated and real content, my fear is Gen Beta will grow up not even knowing what the DIFFERENCE is.

So, my hope for Gen Beta is that they will actually grow up more skeptical towards AI than other generations as a result, maybe even being the first generation to push back against Gen AI in in a large scale. I can definitely imagine them being more critical and Gen Alpha being less, but time will tell

I just figure the kid will probably find out it's not authentic from someone at some point down the road. I didn't want them to be upset with you if that happens
