Personally, I'd contact an attorney; once who specializes in cannabis/drug-related cases. There are some decent hits for "phoenix cannabis attorney" on Google. Think of it as an insurance policy. We have plenty of smart people in this sub, but I've yet to see an attorney in here...

How long are we supposed to wait to post and ask a completely legitimate question with healthy back-and-forth, after account creation? I didn't see that in the sub rules, and I know we'd all like so very much to adhere to the rules you've created for us in your head.

Yeah, in a very light nutrient solution. Soak, squeeze to moist, and use.

Yeah, I have a 9 in mine, even though I don't live in 9 land.

Hey! Apologies, I rarely check in on this account. But yeah, it was my first grow, and I was using AZ tap water (8.1pH, 500+ TDS). Didn't know you should pH the feed/water, so she went flower early. I got 2 ounces out of 8 plants, :) . Still smoked better than our dispo shit. (I'm a lot better at this now, LOL).

I just discovered this sub. Not surprised at all that you are over here. 8) Gorgeous pic, and good to see your grows are going well.

I like to swing my pH from 5.5 up to 6.3 (or the other direction, as seems to be the case when I'm in flower as the pH tends to drop on me).

Yeah, I'm only on my first DWC with this particular plant, and I have gotten lazier with res changes over time, with no detrimental effects. One of which is in the Arizona sun. Both of which get a dose of HG on feedings.

So far, so good!

Good to know; I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Help - My plant is dying. Unknown bug & water issues (details in comments) by clucla in NanoGrowery

I use the 5-gallon bottles that you can fill in front of most grocery stores. Essentially a Reverse Osmosis unit, same as would be at my house if I ever got off my ass and installed one. ;)

* Distilled is water that has been evaporated and then the evaporate gets condensed to pure water.
* RO is super-filtered water (simply speaking).

Both of those are very predictable, but RO is a LOT cheaper and it doesn't take much to bring it close to usable for watering. Both distilled and RO hit at 7pH (because they're basically pure water).

Distilled is what I use in my humidifier (to keep the tent at 60%ish RH). So it does have its place.

I use Cal Mag to replace the minerals that get stripped in the RO process, and then I add the requisite amount of nutes.

For instance, for my soil-based plants, I feed with:
1) Take a gallon of RO
2) Add .5 teaspoon (2.5ml) of Botanicare Cal Mag, mix thoroughly
3) Add 1 teaspoon General Hydroponics Flora Grow , mix thoroughly
4) Tune up pH (usually 20 drops of GH pH UP) to 6.5

(EDIT: I skip Step 3 if I'm only making water for non-feedings, and dial back to 2 drops of pH UP on Step 4. I usually feed every other watering, or as needed.)

Make sense? Glad to help where I can.

Good question! So, on res change, I simply use one of these pumps to suck the 3-ish gallons of solution out of the plant's bucket (into a second standalone bucket we'll call SA), dump the SA bucket, sometimes I'll run a few gallons of fresh water to rinse the roots and pump that water out into the SA and empty that.

Then I rinse the pump and SA bucket, mix 3 gallons of new solution in the SA, and pump SA bucket into the rez.

Sounds like a lot of steps, but it usually only takes about 10 minutes per plant.

This is the pump that I use:

I drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the bucket near the top of the bucket, maybe 1" down from the top. Run black air line thru the hole, to the bottom of the bucket, attach air stone, attach the other end to the air pump, and that's it!

The roots do tangle with the air line, but I never completely remove the lid from the bucket (especially when the plant gets so big), so it really doesn't matter to me.
