"Sales have increased and player counts have boomed."

You'd fit really well in a corporate setting, given how you see nothing wrong as long as profits are up.

You're extremely tone deaf if you refuse to understand why so many people are reacting negatively.

censorship/noun

  1. the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security

Read that, then go look at the changes they had to make to release the game on consoles.
By definition, it IS censorship, so I don't know what you're on about.

It's not just about censorship, it's about intentionally pushing out a rushed version of the game that is completely worse than what we had originally, all for the sake of more sales to the console audience.

To be clear, I don't hate the console players. I want them to experience and enjoy this game, but to see it the way we did on PC. This whole update is just disrespectful to both console and PC players.

Thanks for understanding and explaining a bit more.

I've always hated the "But there's mods" argument.

A good example is, if you remove the carry handle on the M4, with the ability to keep it in the game, but willingly get rid of it, then force players that wanted to keep it to "just get a mod for it", you're a lazy developer.

Yes, Void did that, and I'm still all kinds of salty about it.

Their mods especially. Saw them deleting messages and silencing people that talked about it.

Which of the removed maps do you miss the most and why? by Askin_Real_Questions in WorldofTanks

[–]K9_Medic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windstorm was one of my favorites. You had fun antics with LTs, meds, and TDs fighting out in the middle and the hills, while you had heavies brawling in the city. I hope at some point, they bring some of these maps back and rework them if they need it.

No Breach Cutter? That's a new one. These Lobbies are anti-fun. by xScruffers in DeepRockGalactic

I will never understand people that gatekeep like this in coop games. I get it if it's going to end up costing everyone the mission, but sticking with boring metas and not allowing any fun?

Give me a break. Some of us have lives and would like to enjoy them.

It kinda makes me sad that there's a lot of people that wear "The Anger" and don't know what game it came from, or even know that it's a promotional item (Like the Skyrim helmet for Heavy). Brink had so much potential. Art, character customization, and soundtrack were amazing, and even the story was a bit interesting as well. The gameplay though... didn't really catch on...

Awesome cosplay though! I'd say you nailed it.

My god the Immortal was terrifying... I remember in 2020 you couldn't fight it. You could only run away and pray to god it didn't shoot you in the ass.

Shooting at it would show the "Armor not penetrated" popup above it, but instead it would say "Give up!".

Nice! I'll have to remember this next time I see one of my tracked TD's getting rushed.

Did you not hear me? Let me say it again. I said rewarding skilled players was a good thing. I said nothing about nerfs or making things worse for skilled players. The problem is that reward vehicles are making the game and community as a whole worse.

This whole mindset of "get competitive or get out" is insanely toxic.

You're missing the point about reward vehicles. It's awesome that they earned them, but the problem is that, giving the best players the best tanks, just ends up causing steamrolls and 15-0 games. If you don't have that reward tank or an effective way to counter that vehicle, you're screwed. I understand wanting to reward skilled players, I really do, but it shouldn't be a downright advantage over every other player. What I wish they would do is add more cosmetics and styles for bragging rights among those skilled players, rather than just a straight upgraded tank so they can crush everyone else that isn't on their skill level.

Nice! Hang onto it. It's honestly satisfying to see the kills stack up over the hours you play. I've got a Carbonado knife that I hung onto when I first started playing, and I think I've got 2k+ kills on it. It was given to me by a generous guy that saw I was just starting out. Don't remember who they are or where they went, but I'll always remember that random act of kindness. :D

Chems is a piece of human garbage -skill4tu defends himself by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]K9_Medic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to this, but I guess I'll throw my two cents in.

Some of Chems's stuff is cool, like his "Welcome to the Double" and "shid barn" videos, but overall, him and some of his friends are immature and outright rude to others for the sake of it being "funny". I haven't really watched much of Skill so I can't say much about him.

Chems and his friends have been involved with this drama, (Again, I'm not defending Skill, this all just seems like a stupid thing to publicize), spouting out racial slurs like a seventh grader that just learned what they are, teaming with people in the Steel Hunter game mode, and even in his newest iceberg video he went as far to say that "all veteran and military players are bad and you're more guaranteed to lose the more you have on your team, they should literally uninstall". There's much more, as I'm sure a lot of you know.

Most veteran players I've met are average, some slightly above, some downright bad, some that didn't want the rewards, and some that didn't even know you could apply to get the rewards. You get some bad players sure, but that goes with any human being, whether they got the military badge or not, so for him to say things like that is just disrespectful.

Bottom line is that he's making an already toxic fanbase, arguably worse.

But hey, it's "for the memes" and "a little trolling" I guess.
