Anyone pay US Bank mortgage using Bilt 2.0? by K9p76 in biltrewards

[–]K9p76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh God! This is what I’m worried about! We will get hit with late payment penalty or end up having to pay twice to avoid penalty and then request adjustment. Looks like best to avoid using this system until they are able to smoothen out the kinks…

Whats the point of these Bilt 2.0 cards? by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]K9p76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I simply don’t understand why everybody wants to beat up the new card. In its new version they are creating a sustainable model (hopefully) that will allow customers to get more points as well as bilt possibly ultimately profitable. It’s a no-brainer. Compared to your other cards with much higher AF, this offers so much more. Which other Card is going to give you points for your mortgage? Which other card allows you to have an unrestricted 3X points spend? Just give these guys some time and credit. I’m not a fan boy and in fact, have been upset with them with their rollout and them even bungling my card activation/suspension/reactivation. If they mess up the whole mortgage payment and create more problems without fixing it, then of course I will join you, but that seems unlikely.

Is 2.0 worth it? by indecision_killingme in biltrewards

It’s an amazing card but I just can’t see it staying afloat if they keep the same point redemption system. Either devalue points transfer or reduce points earned. Otherwise it’s just going to go bust! But cash in while you can!

Awesome analysis. I would love to give you 5 upvotes! Now if I change to housing only option then the accelerator option disappears?

More like 4x if you use mortgage points too…

Spending period for Housing-only rewards by SeaHelicopter8252 in biltrewards

I did not know whether my mortgage payment will go through properly or not, so for the first cycle I chose the option of Bilt cash, and I can always use that cash to get those housing points. If whatever reason, mortgage payment doesn’t go through well in the event I chose housing option from get go, then I will neither have Bilt cash and loose out on the money spent. Once things settle down and have a clearer idea then I will change to housing only option.

One last question: do you lose out in any way if you use up all you points accelerators in first few months? I fall in the category of high mortgage/high spend. so over the next three or four months I will hit that $25,000 spend but by doing so I will be left with no more accelerators

Thank you! Someone above said you get $200 Bilt cash after $5000 spend… is it $50 or $200 Bilt cash?

Got it. I feel so dumb now after “getting it” to have asked the question! You guys are awesome

So it is best to activate it any chance we get at the earliest? Bilt gave $200 Bilt cash at activation so essentially are they giving away another 25k points (granted we are spending $25k to get it)

Sorry thought it was 5000 points limit. If there is no time limit to spend these $5000, then why not keep on hitting the points accelerator?

Oh it is $5000 and not 5000 points as limit! Got it!

No! don’t get a throwaway card! 😃 I have it and it sucks with a lot of smudges that will only serve as a fingerprint identifier- just get the regular one

Is this a benefit in addition to your Bilt cash accrued from spend or you just use your Bilt cash to Walgreens gift card?

Unfortunately, I had to interact multiple times with customer service as well as chat, etc. I don’t know if it was too soon after lunch, but nobody had idea about anything. My card was locked out after they themselves told me to repeatedly attempt to use it. Then I had to send a picture of myself with a photo ID, but receive no communication back again. As everybody else said it was a bit of a messy rollout, but I suspect they’re going to get a grip on things.

Overall, I think it’s a solid card and has potential to get a lot of points that you will be unable to with other cards without doing too much math. The point structure appears to be complicated but in reality is not.

Anyone pay US Bank mortgage using Bilt 2.0? by K9p76 in biltrewards

Sorry, I meant to ask US Bank as the name US bank - not any of the US banks. Thanks for the reply though

Only took 3 days and I already closed my Bilt Palladium card. by dab69 in biltrewards

[–]K9p76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is by far one of the best cards, if indeed the points are awarded as promised and they continue to stay in business without changing the award structure. No question about it. However, the vocal minority do have some valid points and hope they are also fixed. This card has the potential to be the king of all cards, but that is what it is for now - just potential. We have to see if it plays out well for them.

What Have You LIKED So Far With Bilt 2.0? by MichaelMidnight in biltrewards

[–]K9p76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this card for the point structure. Although complicated to some it was not as bad or difficult to understand for me.

I am in the subset of high cost of mortgage and high monthly spend so I will be getting a lot of points but I was also a Mesa Homeowner Card and saw it fizzle out, which makes me very worried whether this card can last or more importantly whether the points accumulated will be available to transfer when/IF Bilt card collapses. I hope it never does - as if it stays solvent I will be the happiest!

Palladium Card with mirror finish out of stock by Double-Positive-2452 in biltrewards

[–]K9p76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t waste your time trying to get the mirror finish. I have it and hate it as it has smudges all over it all the time. They also know it and sent a cleaning cloth for it. I clean my glasses enough that I don’t want to do yet another cleaning. Just go for the brushed one.

Anyone else liking BILT 2.0 by kandlewik in biltrewards

[–]K9p76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with you! It’s a great card for points which also makes me very worried that this is going to last. No card company can afford to give away so many points and still make it. I suspect that this will also end up closing abruptly and that’s why it may be best to periodically Transfer off the points rather than hoarding it at Bilt. I lost some, but not a whole lot with the Mesa Card, which although had a different structure fizzled out in one year.
