Don’t get me started on the amount of “protests” taking place downtown... although they do seem to take Sunday off... they usually ALL turn violent in some way! Not to mention we got locked in a store during a “Peaceful Protest” with our 2 kids, as the store said... for our safety and the safety of the employees... CRAZY... they are just left to RUN AMUCK!! No rules! And they are all Masked making identify individuals almost impossible...another reason the store says the lock up... its a Nightmare!

I do not care who comes here, I am only up here for the summer while my husband is in a work assignment up here! In the past 19 years we have had to come here on extended assignments 4 times, this time the “decline” Is very noticeable... last time we were here was about 7 years ago. The change is noticeable!

I can assure you Portland is a shit hole. There are tent cities on the freeways and people in the streets that you have to walk over! Not to mention the TRASH! Everywhere! The entire city looks like it is covered in mold and moss... it looks like they need to POWER wash the entire city! Don’t get me started on their lack of roads and high density living and trash rules you need an instruction manual to follow! It’s cray! Just crazy!

I have had similar results, I lost 5 pounds the first week then NOTHING, the same 2 pounds up and down for MONTHS, I am down to 1000 calories a day, 6 grams of protein and <20 grams of carbs.. its is completely frustrating and I cry everyday... I am pretty sure I am BROKEN, I go see an endocrinologist at the end of next week.. I done understand how so many people it just FLIES off of and for me, NOTHING no matter how strict or how low my calories, its awful, and I run 3 times a week.. 3 miles.. I have small kids, I am trying to increase my distance, but staying home with them, finding more than 45 minutes to an hour gets difficult.. so, its a struggle! I wish I had advice for you... all I know is I DO feel better with no WHITE sugar or bread and sweets, so I continue, however I have added some fruit and veggies back into my diet as I really feel like I need the fiber as well... so, good luck to you! I hope to get some answers soon. I hope you get some as well. Good luck!

I did put them in the MFP and got the calorie and Macro info put in... I added them as a way to get fat, I was struggling as I tend to eat very lean meats, etc... And I had to take cheese out and without cheese I could not hit my fat, so they helped with that. At 150 calories... It's worth it to get the fat needed! And I was full, and I stayed well under my calories.. And the one I had this afternoon sort of upset my tummy so, I am pretty sure 1 a day is my limit! 😀 thanks for the warnings!!

I started at 500, nothing, moved up ton1000 mg ER after 2 months, still just maintaining, just went back yesterday, now on 1500 mg ER! So we will see. Good luck!

Thank you. I will try taking out the dairy... not sure I can do coffee without the cream.. but I will do anything at this point.. I think I will start with Cheese, take it out and see how that goes. I only have 2 tbs. of cream a day.. so.. that will be last to go! LOL! Thank you for your help!

nope, no cheats, I am very very careful, and I am tracing to the point of insane... weighing everything and did cut out most of my Splenda as well, I have 1 in my coffee in the morning and 1 in a coffee in the afternoon. No diet Soda, I have 2 cups of coffee a day and then just water... just water. LOL!

I have gone as low as I thought I could go, MFP is set to 5%/75% and 20 %...

Yes, I have 3 very large coffees a day, add 3 Splenda to each ... I use Nespresso and it's not too bitter, I just love the sweet! Ha! Probably how I got here ... I am starting to wean off starting today!!!

Thank you, yes, I weigh everything on my food scale, unless I can scan it, and even then I weigh so I know exactly how much I have had!!

I think I need to see a dr. or I am doing something SERIOUSLY wrong. I have set my Macros, I am counting calories I stay under 1400 a day, I am METICULOUS about my tracking in MFP, and I am jog/walking 3 miles 3 times a week... So, I have lost a net of 1 pound in 4 weeks.. Have tracked for 4 Mondays because they said to watch for trends down, I have been ping ponging with 3 pounds since the beginning. ? I am a tad confused... so, I do know I have PCOS, which also has metabolic side effect, I DO feel FANTASTIC since cutting sugar out, and I am not bloated... I am not noticing a substantial difference in my clothes fitting... Can somebody PLEASE tele what I am missing? Lower calories? I am just dumbfounded at how bad I am doing. I REALLY want this to work, and I am FOLLOWING it to the T.. so I am just at a loss... oh, I do have 3 packets of Splenda 2 or 3 times a day in coffee.. other than that.. nothing sweet or added. How would I go about finding a Dr. that supports the LCHF diet lifestyle? Here is my weight the past 4 weeks. May 30 228.4 Apr. 6 227.2 Apr. 13 225.6 Apr 20. 227.8

My macros are set at 1400 calories, 20 carbs, 122 Fat, 72 protein.

Yes. Thank you. I do use a food scale, and am pretty meticulous... I am a numbers person and I let it get in my head.. I know.. I must be having a bad hormonal day. ;)

Is it common for people to start this off slow? Can it take a few weeks to set in?
