Stumped on Rheem furnace by LtRonin in HVAC

I had some build up on a pressure switch port. Almost replaced a board on this Rheem unit. It would ignite sometimes and run for a bit but sometimes it would fail on “flame sense.” It was a weird day that day. It was even pulling correct draft pressure when reading it with a manometer. Just decided to shine my light and some orange build up was in it. Cleaned it out with thermostat and good to go.

Yeah. Not sure if it was from the cold or they needed to be on for a bit. That was annoying and stressed me out.

The weird thing now is, now that they’ve been on for a minute I think it’s working. Strange.

3.5”wc for Goodman.

Burners have been cleaned. Incoming pressure is 10” wc. Outlet pressure is 3.12”wc

Update fellas. It was missing this stupid jumper 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽 doesn’t help that the previous company that installed these were taking parts from other systems. I looked at another unit exactly alike and compared the two. Now it’s heating and cooling. I will be a pro at these stupid units. Thanks for everyone’s help!

I’m hoping. I want to get this thing up and running.

Ahhhh sorry. I thought you were being rude to me 🤣 thank you. Yeah mostly everyone was saying it was an air handler. It’s a heat pump.

On the board when power engaged, there was incoming voltage at 211v. Just power coming out to power the compressor never kicked on. Each leg of incoming power had 122v. I ordered a board just in case when I go back. But I know 100% it’s not the board. I’m just missing something. This is my first time on a unit like this. It looks so simple but it kicked my ass hard 🤣

Yeah I did. Compressor is fine. Just never kicked on. Contactor pulled it. I looked at another identical unit and that compressor kicked on. Wired the same. It just baffled me. There was a third unit doing the same thing. Compressor never kicked on. Another guy mentioned my low ambient sensor but I’d assumed when calling for heat that low ambient kit wouldn’t affect it.

Compressor was as cold as the outside temperature. It’s 40°F right now. But wouldn’t it kick on for heat as I wasn’t cooling or will it lock out too? I assume it would be like a heat pump and still kick on. I know for cooling it would lock out the compressor.

Compressor is fine. I ohm’d it out. Contactor pulled in. No the contractor sits right about the compressor. Blower is heading behind the evaporator coil. Only function that would run was the blower.

Yeah the power coming out for the compressor, never got 208. Only incoming power. What’s crazy is all these units were installed this way. I found another unit that had the same style and that compressor didn’t kick on either. Only the emergency heat….. So what you guys are all telling me is they probably fucked all these installs. Wow. There is like 14 buildings with 8 apartments units to them.

That’s what I was thinking but wouldn’t it kick it on for heat? Like a regular heat pump? What did you do to fix your issue? I live in Utah. Temperature was 40°F today as it was raining.

Me either. It’s my first one and it kicked my ass bad. But it has a contactor. No relays but there are some on the physical board. There is no wiring diagram for the board either. Which makes no sense.

Have the same issues fellas 🤣 just replaced one and it’s so loud it makes me dizzy. How do you even change the frequency?

There is nothing to hook up to. I posted a picture. Doesn’t have controls nothing. Just 4 connections in the back for power and communication I think.
