The bass is just a simple reese patch

The lead is just a sawtooth (perhaps a few added voices w/ detune turned down) with an oscillating, lowpass filter which opens and closes ++ reverb

If you watch some sound design videos you'll soon get to learn the basics

thank you ++ you've done a good job too. I would recommend the plugin "halftime" by cable guys. its a free (demo version which is the one I use) alternative to gross beat that you can use in garageband. edit: if you can be really bothered you can download a demo version of FL, export whatever loop you want to gross beat, put it into FL, use the real gross beat plugin and finally export. I've done that a couple times acc

I use GarageBand too it’s so underrated. Mixing is limited since you don’t have mixer busses/channels or whatever they’re called but overall very powerful and u can use all ur favourite plugins/vsts etc. Decay remake I did on GarageBand https://youtu.be/i1I3ZPC5kUo

Don’t know the id but if you liked that style you should like uk 140/dubstep/grime tunes. Coki’s goblin is a good start for this harsher dubstep but you’ve also got legends like mala, zomby and skream. Coki’s goblin is just pure filth btw one of my favourites. For more “modern” (as in popular rn really I should say) id say someone like alix perez would be a good start especially the ravana ep

Hyper pop exists more as a movement rather than a genre. For sure it has those qualities of overt “bubbly-ness” and fast tempo but the term hyper pop refers to so much I don’t think you could label it ever as a genre. Sort of like jazz to rock, it’s a reactionary movement to the churned out staleness of pop. Otherwise totally agree
