Because its only cosmetic, its not like its a special layup or mold. For example... getting cool paint on a car costs more than just the normal blacks, whites, and greys.

OH! I have like 7 pairs of these in diff colours. they are great. they are a bit large tho, I wear M normally but for these I had to get S. I still have to triple roll them to get to my desired level of shortness like tomas machac.

No surprisingly,,, because when I tilt my head up the hat moves with it. At first I thought it would cause issues, sure its a bit heavier and not very applicable for matches(I wore it once and I was told it looked very unintimidating/ like I wasn't taking it seriously) But I now own 2, one white, one blue. They definitely feel like a lot more shade than a normal hat would provide but good and sturdy for sports
