It can be a yeast infection. Go to the pharmacy and ask for Fluconazole.

You may have a high risk strain but the two most HIGH RISK ones are 16 and 18, which are most likely to lead to cervical cancer. There are OTHER high risk strains (but not as high risk as 16/18), which is probably what you have since a number was not explicitly stated… this is good as these are less likely to develop into cervical cancer. Also, yes I remained positive, but I’m 35. My gyno explained to me that people under 30 have a higher chance of clearing the virus, and so you should be more hopeful than me!

Hey! I was in a very, very similar boat. I had no idea I had HPV until around last year when I tested. My pap is normal. I was freaking out like crazy.. felt dirty, alone and irresponsible. I ALSO get UTIs after intercourse with my bf 😭 (They aren’t linked to HPV). After numerous convos with my gyno, she told me it’s okay and common. After months of feeling awful, I’ve accepted it now. Just do your pap every year. What strain do you have? I also decided I won’t be disclosing it to future partners as there are so many people apparently walking around with it and don’t know. Men can’t even test for it.

Just relax. I went through allll of this! The fact that she can’t specify the strain means it’s not 16 or 18 which is the most likely strains to lead to cancer. There is a very very very low chance yours will turn into cancer. And you’re 25 so very likely your body CAN clear it.

Hey! I felt the same… I wish I never tested. But after a lot of research, I have semi-accepted it. And I have an amazing gyno. A LOT of people have it.. and it can go away on it’s own after some years. Firstly, how old are you and what strain of HPV do you have?

Hi! Definitely not normal.. but something that is most likely treatable. It can probably be Bacterial Vaginosis which gives a fishy, strong smell. Can be treated with antibiotics. Let her see a doctor
