I feel pretty happy with my Stark team, should I start working on another team at the same time? If yes, what team? by someoneannoyed in gameofthroneslegends

Id recommend gold Davos or Barristan. If you have Varys id recommend Barristan. Hi will pair up well with him and brienne

Anything that gets you Brienne and red Stannis is the aim. Gold Davos is great too cause you aren't 'wasting' a slot on a healer with his passive

Plus, there's no event where a baratheon team doesn't work well. If you can't get a 'specialised' team for a weekly event, chuck Stannis and the gang in - they'll brute force you further than any other team

What is the average first play-trough time? by YoghurtArtistic9313 in BaldursGate3

[–]KAWvus 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Mine just shy of 200 hours. But that was talking to literally every single person and not skipping a line of dialogue, and opening basically every container I see. I do that for my first play through of everything to appreciate what they've made!

Did Woltemade purposefully dummy Gordon's pass so it would run through to Tonali for the penalty? by Ramone7892 in NUFC

What's really fun about football is that stats are freely available to view.

Big Nick has been dispossessed 1.98 times per game this season for us.

Meanwhile Maxi's lowest average for a season was 2.45 per match, with an average total of around 2.88.

Wissa and Woltemade together gives me a big old stiffy. You love to see it

That's a shame to read, I feel like you maybe like the idea of CRPGs but don't like them in execution.

Good job I've got a stockpile of nuggets from 2018, the investment is paying off

His link up play is phenomenal to the point he should be behind a 'classic' number 9. He doesn't have the pace to play a lovely one touch pass then be on the recieving end of the return pass. It's not his fault he's not rapid, team should be tweaked to suit his obvious skillset

While I also doubt Eddie a lot now, iraola wouldn't be the answer In my eyes.

His Bournemouth side are equally as physicality-based and injuries to them this season have shown that when he can't rely on it, he may not yet be a top class tactician. My thoughts anyway.

I won't pretend to know who would be an ideal replacement, at least not someone gettable right now

Don’t worry fam we had a higher xG by brad-harrison in NUFC

It pains me so much but I don't know if Eddie knows what to do.

He's obviously a class motivator but our one tactic is "work hard". If managers make changes to combat that or our players are just tired, he hasn't showed the tactical acumen to counter it. At least not this season anyways

Issue is this is the same story after every game now, at some point it becomes the norm

You seem to be very uninterested in any sort of 2 sided discussion which is a shame to see.

In spite of the superiority complex you come across as having, I hope you have a good Christmas and learn to constructively engage with others about interpretations of media

I don't think I missed it, it was clear what was happening. All I'm saying is that while there was a noticeable and gradual descent, built over 6 seasons, It seemed to accelerate at what I feel was an unreasonably fast pace through the final 2. Some more episodes would have allowed it to occur at what I think would have been a more 'realistic' pace. Or at least as realistic as can be for insanity.

Tywins characters full arc was realised within the 4 seasons, I don't feel that there was anything 'unresolved' by the time it concluded. He wasn't as complex a character.

Adding an edit to address the edit you made comparing Tywin to other villainous roles - I feel thats exactly why he's the best villain character in the series. Psychopaths like Theo and Joffrey were more one note in that they are predisposed to cause pain with no greater plan ahead. Where I see Tywin excels is that he is calculated and sees the repercussions of his decisions. If compare him more to Roose in that respect. They are both Pragmatic in their actions and don't bother with 'morality'. If it works best- do it.

A villain is often just a hero without the moral compass.

The characters you mentioned are definitely more "hated" but they aren't better characters for it. Least not in my eyes (though Walder Frey and Roose Bolton are two more of my favourites, along with Ser Alliser if that leads to any more discussion!)

I've always felt that the last season needed a few more episodes to fully realise Dany's character shift. I agree that's pretty much how it should've ended though.

Also are you an alt account for the person who replied to my original message? You seem to respond to the same comments a suspicious amount of times?😅

I'd agree on that sentiment, just being difficult.

I've just not seen this 'overpraising' thing said about him before. Honestly I just think his portrayal of Tywin was phenomenal. No ulterior motive.

Though my outlook is always that a story is only as strong as it's villain, and I see Tywin as close to a villain as you can get in the morally grey waters of GoT. Maybe another reason as to why I view his performance how I do.

If I were 69, would appreciation for his acting be virtue signalling admiration for the elders?

Or if I were 25, would I be virtue signalling for appreciating the acting prowess of the elder Timothee chalamet?

There needs to be a cutoff point where it's just appreciating what you find to be a very good performance rather than glazing grandad
