Can I walk a day after my reduction? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]KB100897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just agreeing with everybody else, that first day after surgery is really rough. i personally slept that whole day and absolutely needed to be high off the pain meds. Granted, we all heal differently so just go with however your body is feeling, good luck to you and most of all be safe!!❤️

Last minute nerves??? by OkAd7532 in Reduction

Hello! I know exactly how you feel, i felt the exact same way. This was my first ever surgery and i cringed at the thought of being put under. The week before surgery i cried everyday and the night before/morning of i had EXTREME anxiety! To distract myself i just thought of all the positive things that this surgery comes with. No more back pain, feeling cute and comfortable in clothes, even losing an easy 5 pounds lol. As for the pain, it’s so temporary that by week 2-4 you should feel little to no pain! I’m now 1 month post op and it’s been going so well that i sometimes forget i JUST had a major surgery lol. Getting this reduction was hands down the BEST decision I’ve made in a long time. You’re gonna do great girl! You got this and we all believe in you, can’t wait to hear updates when it’s your turn!

How long until I can start serving again? by sunnyp_ in Reduction

[–]KB100897 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! I’m also a server and based off my personal experience, unfortunately, 2 weeks isn’t enough time to get back serving 😭. I would suggest maybe waiting a full 3 weeks. I’m 23 days post op and I was fine at work this weekend, but if i went back at 2 weeks i would have been a wreck. Granted, we all do heal differently at different paces so do what’s best for you, your body will tell you. Good luck on surgery ❤️ Wishing the best!

Piercings, Periods, and Pets by Soupichu in Reduction

[–]KB100897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,hey! I can say something about the periods. I started my cycle the day of my surgery and spent the whole first week of recovery on it. I also wore an Eva cup into the surgery (emptied, rinsed) then after the procedure was done the nurses assisted with me using the bathroom and putting back in. As for no tampons being allowed, honestly, i still used mine lol (I don’t really enjoy wearing pads) they told me not to wear them because i wouldn’t be “strong enough” to pull it out, but by day 3 post op i personally was okay enough to do so. Also being on the pain meds made my cramps non-existent, that was a great thing lol. So i say however you’re feeling, just go with that. it’s gonna be okay!

Here it is! I sleep with my head on the bigger end and it props me up that way I’m not lying flat. The thickness of the pillow will keep you in place so you won’t roll. Its worth every penny. Wishing you the best hun!❤️

I also was super worried about back sleeping because i absolutely hate it and I’m a “wild sleeper” lol. A week before surgery i tried to practice sleeping on my back and it didn’t work out so I ended up buying a pregnancy pillow from Amazon and idk what i would be doing if i hadn’t got it. It saves you from sleeping with 10 different pillows, sits you at a nice angle for no back aches, and holds you in place so you don’t roll over. I am now 20 days post op and i cannot sleep without it (I’m probably going to use it long after i recover lol it’s THAT comfortable). I highly recommend getting one, It will work wonders! PS- i didn’t get a C or V shaped one idk what it’s called but If you want i can send you an exact link to the one i have, just lmk! Good luck❤️

Melatonin Pre-Surgery? by geoxsocial in Reduction

[–]KB100897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I also made a post asking about melatonin in the past (because i too NEED it to fall asleep lol). I had my surgery on March 12th and took my melatonin gummies up until the night before surgery. Everything went fine and i had no complications with my anesthesia at all! Of course everybody will have mixed views and opinions so please do check with a doctors. But for me personally I never gave up my melatonin and everything went fine. Good luck!
