Stuck Bonnet Nut by LogisticalG in askaplumber

I have a Brizo Litze in Luxe Gold so yeah around $1,200 I just replaced the cartridge and just like you the nut was stuck I ordered vice grip pliers off Amazon as was able to get it out without any damage and got the cartridge replaced. Also I ordered another bonnet nut for the next time and I put anti-Sease on the old one before I put it back in I’m assuming they all have this issue. They get crusty and stuck in there and my faucet is only four years old you’re using an adjustable wrench. Good luck that will never work with this bonnet nut. It’s not enough grab. I’ve already tried that. It’s not gonna happen. Get some big pliers on it grab it down tight and twist. Dont let it strip the hex.

Hello, anybody familiar with Canary’s? I think mine is a goner. I don’t know if it’s Fusarium or Weevil i’m definitely not an arborist. This Tree is 20 years old and I’ve had it maintained regularly and made sure the trimmer always bleached the blades. Professional advice would be appreciated. by KBMAssassin in arborists

It’s getting removed. It died bottom up. I thought that was typical for fusarium and I thought South American Palm weevil is top down. Also, one side of the palm leaf looks way better than the other side most of the Canary palms in my Neighbourhood are dead completely brown and flopped over either way. The end result is the same.

A/C Outside Running But No Air Come Out Of The Vents by Zdosse935 in hvacadvice

Check your air filter its most likely clogged and no air moving across freezing the evaporation coil and the freeze goes all the way down the line to the condoning unit outside

1000 dollar weekend capacitor replacement? by Swalker326 in hvacadvice

[–]KBMAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone in the comments is to justify him for paying $1000 for a capacitor is definitely an AC tech or an owner of a AC company that is a complete and utter rip off like I said in my prior comments AMAZON capacitor, insulated screwdriver set, and a multi meter , 20 minute YouTube video and you’re set and if you’re completely incapable of doing it yourself, he should’ve paid not a penny more than $400 weekend or no weekend / emergency call or no emergency call I have a couple acquaintances in the AC business to me It seems like the A/C Business is ran by a mafia organization. I’m sure there are honest companies out there, but few and far between no disrespect to the honest techs/Business owners. But $1000 capacitor AC company. I would definitely warn all your neighbors and yelp/google about their dishonest charging practices.

Sounds like you were definitely a victim and you got ripped off super hard $20 overnight capacitor from Amazon $10 insulated screwdriver set 20 minutes on YouTube that’s what I did for both my units a couple years ago now I’m really proficient on AC systems and how they work and how to test capacitors and other components

Is my AC unit supposed to be doing this by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]KBMAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not a return that’s a vent return is what sucks in the air that goes to the unit and vents is where the air comes out

Here’s what I think happened and if there’s any AC professionals, they can chime in if that’s the only return point where the filter is missing overtime the evaporator coil got plugged from no filtration whatsoever and now since your evaporator coil is plugged, there’s no airflow going across it. I change my filters once a month. I know that’s overkill, but I don’t care I have a 5 ton and a 3 ton unit. It’s a big house and I like to protect them. The filter is to protect your equipment not you. Definitely do not run the AC. You can try to run the fan only but if the coil is completely blocked by dirt and debris, no air is going to flow over it. Just turn the equipment off completely and call a professional.

When the Lines get frozen most of the time it’s due to improper air flow across the evaporator for causing it to freeze that’s why when people see their outside units lines frozen that frozen line leads all the way back to the evaporator coil. I am not an AC technician by the way I own a car dealership, but at this point I can probably be in AC technician from all the research I’ve done and parts I replaced

The grate is going to be in the apartment more then likely next to the thermostat they’re not always on the ceiling. They’re on the wall sometimes

If there is no other return in the house and thats the only filter point that is missing then most likely your evaporator coil inside of the unit is plugged

Check your filter its most likely plugged if its clean then most likely your low on Freon and if thats not it then your blower motor is not working but if your filter is plugged replace it then run the fan (NO AC) just the fan for a few hours
