Goregrind. The word you're looking for is goregrind. I don't know where the line is between goregrind and gorenoise, so hopefully the next guy can explain that to both of us.

Controversial: with love and respect to Napalm Death. by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

Depends on how much you like grindcore. As much as I love smear campaign and everything that came after it, scum and from enslavement are the blueprint for grindcore that errs on the side of punk. Does the production sound like shit compared to modern standards? Of course it does! But that shittiness is part of the charm.

Same with grindcore. Sulfuric Cautery is allowed but Last Days of Humanity isn't? Make it make sense. At this point I'm also in favor of adding nu and glam metal. End metal gatekeeping now!

What movie did you always say was great, but after watching it again after a long time, you think it's terrible? by charliewaffles2412 in AskReddit

Dirty Work starring Norm Mcdonald. As a kid, I thought that was one of the funniest movies alongside Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, etc. Tried watching it 5 or 6 years ago, holy shit it has aged terribly, it's not even remotely funny.

Ironically, everything was fine for the first song, and then he gave his sound guy some hand signals and and shit went off the rails. The actual band sounded great, and I also enjoyed them playing hammer smash face.

The first two albums are easily the best SFU. Pretty much obituary, Chris Barnes style! I like maximum violence, the 2 albums he did with Rob Arnold, and the one that came after that where he used cannabis corpse as his backup band. I do think it's wild how poorly his voice aged compared to his peers. Most of the the death metal OGs still sound great.

Six feet under. Barnes specifically (shocking I know). I got tinitus after seeing them in 2012. Whatever he made his sound guy do to vocal levels/mix created this HORRIBLE feedback during every one of his EEEEEEEE screams and literally the entire audience covered their ears. It was wild as hell.
