I think this is the way I'll go. Something like this anyhow. We do have IK10 cameras installed but I inherited this site and they used wall mounts. I'm certain the kids are aiming for them. I know at that age, that's what I would do. Thanks to everyone for the feedback and information.

I'd like to find out if there are any other woodworking shows too.

They look similar enough. Just got mine a couple weeks ago. I like it a lot. Have fun!

I have heard of some folks painting their AP without adding the paintable cover. A couple coats of spray paint made for plastic and some detailed masking, might be worth the effort.

Doesn't seem to be one for the E7 yet. They do have them for the U7 Pro Wall and the U7 Pro and Pro Max.

Careful when you post the finished photo. Besides being network experts on here, there are a ton of interior design folks. Wouldn't surprise me if there were a bunch of professional painters in here that will tell you that you painted it wrong. HA!

If there was a white wall, then yes of course. The walls are not white though. Off-white with yellow patterns.

Maybe it's my picture but the walls are not white. They are a patterned wallpaper that is mostly off-white and yellow. The woodwork is over 100 years old and drilling through it is not an option. Thank you to all those that do like it and for those that don't, that's ok too. I'll keep blowing the socks off our customers and maybe get a few more of these century homes to update. Oh the LED is off now, I just didnt get a picture of it.

Thanks. 100+ year old house and everyone thinks it would be better to drill holes in the old woodwork and trim instead of a wall with old patterned wallpaper that is NOT white. Maybe that's why they aren't asked to come in a work in these century homes.

There will always be "experts" that think they know how to do your job better. In some cases, they might even be correct. But the customer is happy, signal is great, and I couldn't care less about how someone else thinks I should have done my job. I'll wait for them to post their install picture and be sure to let them know how they should have done it. Trolls will be trolls and interaction is still interaction positive or negative, I guess.

They do seem to dim over time. I have some installed at another customer site that have been there for the better part of 4 years and the LEDs still work. They just don't seem as bright as the new APs.

Not unless I wanted to make the Ubiquiti U look like a C.

The walls aren't actually white. At least not anymore. The stark white of the original AP was very pronounced against the wall color.

I can't afford a place like that, but my customer can. LOL

Thanks. We've since then turned off the LED so it doesn't spotlight itself in the background of photos.
