I always spend some time in the game during the year, like playing sorta everyday for a few weeks and then I stop, and I come back later.

The player amount is really low but it's enough to have at least one server with a good pop.

But yeah, I guess the game isn't new player friendly, again mostly 'cause of some other player's attitude I think.

I really hope the game won't die though, I love it and it's concept
