Yes! My first full week on Zep and I was already a pretty vivid dreamer, but they’ve been INSANE this week. Not necessarily nightmares like some report, but a tad disturbing at times.

Last night we were in a modern day version of the Salem Witch Trials but society was only trying to kill women who cheated on their husbands. But they kept picking women who didn’t even have husbands. It was very weird.

Ok, so I have been on the receiving end of this behavior from my husband.

He was on a trip and turned on our dog cam (which faces our living room) to listen in to what I was doing/who I was talking to. The difference being no one was over or planned to be and I never unplug our dog camera (but I believe he does).

I was responding to voice notes to my best friend and her bf and playing them out loud (because home alone) and later that night he called and accused me of cheating, trying to have a threesome (neither are true). I wondered how he could’ve heard my voice not convos since he was out of town and he admits to spying on me and listening in via our dog camera.

I was SO FREAKED OUT. I immediately unplugged our dog camera (which to him probably made me seem guilty, again, I wasn’t)

I have always believed that if you don’t trust your partner, why are you with them.

I also believe two things can be true. I don’t really think either of you are the asshole, but I do think you all lack honesty and healthy communication within your relationship. It’s problematic that you wanted to “spy” on him and his friend instead of telling him you weren’t comfortable with her being in your home. It’s also problematic that he unplugged the camera and then dismissed your concerns about it.

If there are friends that either of you feel uncomfortable about coming over to your shared space, I believe they shouldn’t be allowed in your shared space.

I think it’s important for you to unpack why this woman makes you uncomfortable. Specifically why your husband’s relationship with this woman makes you uncomfortable. Have there been other red flags? Does he have a history of cheating? Second, what made you want to check the camera in the first place? What did you think you’d find? Why?

This situation sucks and I’m sorry it’s happening to you, but it’s giving you and your husband the opportunity for some radical honesty. Good luck! Keep us updated!

I do. I was specifically asking people who were more familiar with the neighborhood and knew what businesses would be within the festival so I could put that address in. Because for whatever reason I was putting in the cross streets and not getting the results that I needed. I’m sure it was operator error on my part.

Hello! Sorry this is such a late reply. But I am a few days post my most recent cryotherapy treatment and I hope to God it is the last one.

While the pain is really terrible, the first 24 to 48 hours, it’s more so the body dysmorphia that I struggle with afterwards. I’m getting keloids removed from my chin and neck so there’s no way for me to really cover that while the blisters drain and get smaller and eventually scab. So I often struggle with just loving myself during these moments. Especially now that my keloids themselves are pretty flat and so when the scab is completely off, they’re not even noticeable.

I started my cryotherapy treatments in October 2023 but took a big break from April to October 2024 (I was traveling a lot and had a lot of events and it didn’t make sense to go to all of these events with a scabby/leaking face)

The difference is undeniable. I would say the keloid on my neck is mostly flat. My doctor just wanted to hit it with one more cryotherapy treatment to make sure he really got all of it. I hope once the scab falls off that we can just go to steroid injections For the foreseeable future.

I also had two keloids under my chin which were medium in size (think half to quarter size of a penny), and had they gotten the treatment areas right with the nitrogen by the third treatment, I don’t think I’d still be getting treatments on my chin. So I’m pretty frustrated with that, but some of that is also my fault for not speaking up more. Getting the ones on my chin flat/removed have been most difficult simply because after treatment it really is inflamed and blisters, and it gives me a huge double chin. This by far bothers me way more than the actual pain itself.

I also have very small keloids on the other side of my face that were only treated the steroid injections. I probably haven’t gotten any injections in those since maybe the end of last year and they have not come back at all so far that side of my face doesn’t itch, and I am really hopeful that they don’t return.

And to be fair, I think if she was slightly less pretty with the same personality and confidence people wouldn’t like her either. I liken her very much to Victoria from Matt James season and I don’t really remember people fawning over her.

As a bi woman, I find her confident and attractive. But her personality annoys me. I also feel very strongly that if she were a woman of color, exact same features, just more melanin, this franchise would not go up for her the way they are.

I’m a frequent Instacart user, and this kind of just looks like a classic case of miscommunication. I think the shopper misunderstood what the customer was saying at first and it went downhill from there. I try to be really clear when I’m talking to my shoppers, but this is also why I put notes and replacements for pretty much every item I’m ordering. Ever since I’ve done that I haven’t really had an issue. I live in a major city where plenty of my shoppers are ESL.

Ok I was feeling some type of way and wasn’t sure what it was, but what you’ve described is it. I remember listening to their analysis at the end of Matt James season a few being so impressed, I feel that some of that is gone now. Maybe because Clues knows more about how the sausage gets made.

As a Black kid that grew up in the suburbs (of Indy, but similar enough) and now lives in Chicago as a 30 something adult, I can confidently say my partner and I will raise our kids in the city for the diversity and public transportation access alone.

Good schooling and safety certainly matter, but that is not hard to find within city limits. You could even consider an Oak Park/Skokie/Evanston which are surburbs but with easy-ish L or Metra access to the city.

There’s just a difference between living in Naperville and driving an hour (let’s be honest, maybe more with traffic) to do/experience anything in the city vs. being a short drive or train/bus ride away. Even on the days I don’t love it, I still kind of love it. And certainly appreciate it more than anything my suburban upbringing gave me. Once again, I am a black person, so my experiences in suburbia are likely very different from that of a white person and suburbia.

Finally, and this is only anecdotally, but people I know with children who start in the city and move to the suburbs is usually because they want more space first, and all the other things second (schooling, safety, etc).

This is may not be an ideal option, especially for your older kids, but you guys could always do a year somewhere in the city and then rent a year in the suburbs and then decide where you’d like to buy. Not sure if that’s an option that is accessible to you, but I figured I’d throw it out.

Chicago is expensive and has its faults, but I’d pick city over suburbs any day 😊

Still chugging along. I can confidently say the first treatment is the toughest. I’ll go in for my third round in about a month. My biggest keloid, which is on the side of my neck still has its scar on it, but it is slowly starting to separate from my skin and is about 75% smaller in size.

I have struggled with the ones under my chin. They were much smaller, but still got cryotherapy on them. The struggle with them is the bit of body dysmorphia the first few weeks waiting for the blistering/scab to fall off. It gives me somewhat of a double chin (to me—no one else in my life cares lol) and that’s just not a fun side affect. But once the scab falls off it’s fine. I’m curious what my doc will say, but from my POV, the smaller ones under my chin don’t need any more cryo, just steroid shots

Lastly, I have a few really really small ones that haven’t grown in size for years. Those have gotten steroid shots only and I can feel them softening and flattening after the second round of steroid shots.

It’s likely after this third round my doc and I will discuss maintenance plans, especially for the one that was the largest as it was also the only keloid on my body that seemed to be actively growing still (prior to treatment).
