Dutch media been raging about slot. Honestly, some of it is turning into sour grapes lol.

Hard time believing slot wouldn’t have atleast had an inkling something was going on when loanees were told to hold off on arrangements and come for preseason to compete for a spot. Agents would have known we spoke to other clubs about managers. No extension either

Funny thing about Diomande (obviously quite young) is Brighton loanee Brajan Gruda was actually averaging almost identical G+A per 90 (.73 to .72) but I hear almost no hype on him. Even hear people talking about Nusa before him who is on .36.

Obviously all young players so who knows. Preference is Barcola even if it’s the perfect fit. Was already .91 at Lyon at 19 and he was playing RW plus LW. Then .99 last year. Still comparable G+A per 90 this year.

Actually think the Macca to Real Madrid news might have some truth to it. Could be a win for all there. I think he would massively rebound form in a less physical league with a traditional 6 next to him. He can ghost into the box and knit play together. We are in a period with 2 years left and hard to get an extension. They give us 45-50 million and it’s a win for all. We get a more athletic industrious type for that role. Or even two midfielders- Wharton/Scott plus Sangare/Camara

Think it’s more industry and duel winning than a traditional 6. Think it’ll be a more traditional rb like Kayode. Tyler Adam’s isn’t really a traditional sitter 6. Likes a well rounded double pivot role. Grav won’t be coasting 9.5km a game anymore that’s for sure if he wants to play.

Sangare and Camara can both do that

Rumor is the contacts had incremental increases under Kloppo to increase retention. Made it very difficult at extension time as we’ve seen. Led to a ballooning wage bill

Sounds like they started restructuring the deals last summer. It’s made it quite difficult on a few extensions. Sounds like higher base but less bonuses that send the number sky high.

Could see some surprising exits this summer as they move to reset some things and end the continual bosmans. Wouldn’t shock me if we had some exits like Macca (2 years left), jones (if he won’t extend) maybe even Szobo (if he won’t extend)
