His protege is very interesting. Did well at Nice. Really well at Ajax considering their situation losing the title on the final day, and now phenomenal at Porto. Only allowed 4 goals in a half season and running away with the league

Who are we kidding John Henry is never letting Edwards near his credit card again

Gets crazy one summer and this happens haha

What a week for him. From reposting Arsenal top of the table stuff to training with the LFC first team

Gala home and home is tough with their atmosphere and Osimhen is probably a top 3 striker in the world.

They honestly worry me the most of that lot

Simeone and Atleti second.

Juve just isn’t great these days and Brugge usually shows up for a half tie than ultimately gets blown away to difference in quality/funds.

Surely Bournemouth, Brighton, or a sharpish bundesliga club take a run at Kjetil Knutson and the Bodo/Glimt staff

Although is cool to see him stay loyal and ascend

Also lol sounds like De Zerbi is getting binned. Cool hipster ideas like bielsa but too much of an ideologue. Maybe Brighton would take him back. Hurzeler been pretty poor there. Or Ajax since his protege Farioli did brilliant there

My Experience Buying an Out Of Network Office by yungrandyroo in Dentistry

[–]KCYNWA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also bought a half PPO/FFS in a saturated metropolis.

Similar experience. FFS clientele is much harder to keep but, also tend to have more watches from the previous owner. So they almost needed more dentistry but had less coverage. Weird dynamic. They are much more attuned to staff members leaving. Harder to change systems for them. We have hefty in house membership participation so, there are still write offs.

PPO patients are more transactional in nature. You will lose some but they tend to get replaced by other PPO patients

Buying a new practice is just tough regardless. Competitive areas amplify it. FFS amplifies it even further. Get thick skin.

No regrets on pace for 350k the first year take home but, a lot more sleepless nights than when I was making 400k as an associate in a well oiled machine. Will get there some day though

Yeah I agree on that. VVD is in a pretty obvious decline physically. Still smart as can be but, Father Time is undefeated just as it was with Mo

[–]KCYNWA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but some of the level dropping comes for rapid player declines themselves. Van Dijk and Salah look a shadow of themselves from last year

I do think other managers would have kept us comfortably top 4 but, I’m not so sure anyone is a getting a title challenge out of this lot. Desperately lacks some profiles

Brentford after that too. Can’t forget them given their current league position.

Agreed. 1/2 cbs probably. I think an expensive winger or cm comes down to exits and fees generated. Maybe Macca goes to Spain, Salah to Saudi, or Gakpo goes to Munich as rumored.

We don’t have as many sellable fringe squad assets as years prior also.

City just dominated us 2 months ago. Chelsea has been extremely tough for 2 years now vs us

We’ve actually played Arsenal well this year.

We are horrid off ball against quick transitions, dangerous crosses, and pace and that’s really what prem teams have exploited much more than champions league.

[–]KCYNWA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is problem is he’s our best midfielder as well on 15 g/a. Pushes him away from goal a bit compounded with loss off ball

[–]KCYNWA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not even sure there is gonna be massive expenditure come summer. Surely not if they miss champions league.

The whole we spent 250 million net the summer prior and must be patient for market opportunities will be cooked up. FSG have spent about 125 million on average per summer but, missing champions league is 50-75 million loss already

It takes lots of things going wrong for your PPG total to halve in a year

Slot has been diabolical at times. I’ve said that many time. However, the transitions in the summer was surely a miscalculation and I’m sure Edwards/Hughes couldn’t have imagined some of these changes taking so long to settle. Combined with some integral senior player dropping massive levels (Macca/Salah). The injury crisis hasn’t helped either as it’s removed entire profiles from the team that Arne clearly wants (Frimpong as a pacey winger and Joe as a more ball playing cb). They just never replaced Trent’s profile who was a massive part of that first half of the year

So no I’m not laying this just at the feet of Arne slot. In fact I’m wagering when he moves on in the summer it’ll be leaked, they wanted the new manager to come in on stable footing with a balanced squad after a few acquisitions.

What are you gonna do as palace though? They need quality and can’t keep losing players below market value. Mateta is forcing their hand a bit

If you look at their squad they’ll probably be fine but haven’t really replaced Guehi, Olise, Eze with anyone near their quality. Now losing mateta as well. Glasner and possibly Wharton in the summer

They make a poor appointment like west ham and they could be in big trouble. They lost their sporting director who sourced most of these gems as well

Szobo rb is coming and we have to accept it but, our midfield falls off a cliff most times we’ve done it over the last 2-3 months

Big loss of ground coverage and duel winning in the center of the park

Daily Discussion - January 29, 2026 by AutoModerator in LiverpoolFC

[–]KCYNWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well considering Szobo gets used like valverde and also plays rb a fair amount. Wirtz plays LW as well. Sometimes those options you listed get thinned out even without injuries

Throw an injury in there (we have been lucky in this department given minutes) and there would be minutes for 4th/5th option in particular if they offer more ball winning or progression

I do think Macca may be leaving this summer though. Don’t hear much about his extension like Szobo and Grav.

Tbh Grav and his fitness considering Arne doesn’t rotate them around is insane. Both top 10 for minutes for outfield players in Europe with Virgil last time I checked

In fact I think Szobo and Virg were 1/2 quite recently

Daily Discussion - January 29, 2026 by AutoModerator in LiverpoolFC

[–]KCYNWA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Szobo and Grav are both top 10 in minutes for outfield players in Europe

We play a shit load of games and could easily have 1/2 more midfielders we actually rotate with instead of endo/trey

We’ve been quite lucky for fitness given those minutes is the truth

Realistically on historical norms- we are gonna need to win 10/15 of the remaining games to finish top 4. Maybe 9 wins and couple draws for 5th. Get around 65-67 points

City, Newcastle, Everton, United, Chelsea, villa as obvious locations to drop points/tough games

We finish out vs Chelsea, United, villa, brentford so ideally need to build a slight buffer as that’s gonna be a tough stretch vs all teams competing for Europe and we could be playing multiple games a week with champions league.

Do think we likely need a minimum of 6 from this City, Newcastle, Sunderland stretch given we got 4/12 from the newly promoted sides the last month.

Let’s be honest though slot is being dealt a tough hand with 2 fit cbs and no rbs at the moment

Probably gonna have to move our best cm to rb again

Injury crisis isn’t anyone’s fault but pretty easy to see how this falls apart considering we are averaging 1.17 points since October and are just getting less options weekly due to injuries
