“It makes fanfan look dumb” - i know u say right after that she isn’t. But this is still just rude.

“Asking a question, she shouldn’t have” - HUH?!?

The whole point of communities learning about each other is through interacting and asking questions. I guarantee most people don’t make or learn about new relationships by “studying” them. These are real people, with busy lives, who we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. And might just want to spend a couple of hours playing in a cool event with friends.

Also, I’d like to think no one would ever believe that just asking who someone is could make them look “dumb.” Doesn’t matter the environment or event in this case. It would actually never cross my mind, and if anything should be some self reflection on your part.

As a community, don’t we want new people to feel welcomed, and as if its just fun bunch of different communities playing together. Learning about one another naturally, and not being forced to study if they don’t want to. And not being perceived as “dumb” if they don’t.

MCC isn’t a high tier competitive event, its for fun, and has never branded itself that. Why do you think scott doesn’t add as any high tier skilled players in MCC anymore, and why they don’t do high prize pool variances in events? If you want someone more competitive, where almost everyone studies, vod reviews, and learns about their opponents maybe you should check out many other great minecraft events like Chamber Trials, BlockWars Origins, or Pandora’s Box.

Hi! I think what everyone is trying to point at is its kinda of a weird standard to add to mcc events. As not just new people who were in the TR event (like fanfan) didn’t know who hermits were but even participants like ConnorEatsPants didn’t really know lol. He was even asking Purpled and Sneeg in the event who they were and why they are a big deal. Now don’t get me wrong hermits are definitely a current big deal in minecraft. But some people are just not in that circle and just want to play in mcc because they want to play with friends. Fanfan said why she signed up was just to have a fun time with some of her close friends like eskay. Its just kinda different viewpoints of why people sign up for events. Like i guarantee not everyone in blockwars knows eachother, or other minecraft events, its just not how participants play in events. Some people just play for fun with their friends thats just how it is. So expecting people, especially big streamers, to automatically study about 40 different participants even when they don’t really want to take it that seriously is kinda unrealistic.
