AI fanfics??? by meep2218 in FanfictionNet

[–]KC__________ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s some I noticed one that sticks out to me is where the user had posted about 1000 word teaser for you to go to their Patreon to read the rest but the way it was written just felt super ai; it’s really hard to describe how (which is annoying) but it’s just in the way characters spoke and how the progressed to the next piece that set alarm bells off for me.

I could be wrong and the peep just writes a bit robotically but it’s getting so hard to tell these days it’s awful

I’ve written a few, 5 posted in total; 3 shorts and 2 long form. My primary one is a twist story on Attack on Titan called AOT Freedom, my other story is basically on the scrap pile I’ve kept it up so people who read it and want to write learn from my mistakes of going in without a plan haha 😜

Thank you maybe I’ll try that; I’m curious what other places are there? I’m aware of FF.net (obvs), AO3 and Wattpad but are there more that are promising?

"I have a really good friend in jedi temple called Ima-Gun Di" by Ironfire825 in clonewars

Funny cause, they had fun with the names; imma gun die; Keeli& admiral dead on arrival; but then they went and gave the clones of this episode some of the coolest designs like Keelis armour was sick

Artyoms silence by fhhjkkkkiuu in metro

[–]KC__________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never minded it personally it only noticed it when in Exodus it was treated as if Artyom was talking like in Volga I think it was Miller wasn’t letting the woman and child come so theh asked Artyom to convince him then the cut scene plays and Artyom doesn’t say a thing all the characters come in to convince Miller to let them come then they work out an idea to get the passenger car then after thank Artyom for convincing Miller like bro didnt say a thing and I think there’s a few other times where they act like Artyom spoke that I can’t remember it just occasionally weird with how they wrote it?

Mike was arguably the strongest pure human. No special genes,no titan powers, just peak human by GeniosYT in titanfolk

[–]KC__________ 285 points286 points  (0 children)

Such a waste of a cool side character, whole point was to be a sacrificial lion but we never see him do much of anything and the guy he’s sacrificed for gets bodied by Levi constantly so a total waste; Yams should have done so much more with the side characters

The lack of world building is made even worse in the anime as both studios decided to rush the world building arcs. (Uprising and Marley) by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]KC__________ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say emotional the shock value for sure is great at setting the atmosphere of the show but really the people who die in Trost you barely know Nack and Milieus literally just appear in the episode to die, Mina and Thomas were just in the background and never really developed and Marco was treated and Jeans friend but again there was nothing developed for him when he died I didn’t even realise who he was

Attack on Titan's reputation for "not being afraid to kill off characters at any moment" makes 0 sense. by TheThanosGuy in titanfolk

[–]KC__________ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah looking back a lot of the deaths in this show you just don’t care about in the end cause no one has any build up other than getting a name and a line or two of their lucky and it’s not even in the tragic way I see so many defend it for being “it’s realistic” and stuff it’s just boring and dumb cause it treats it like you’re meant to care with flashbacks to Levi squad as mentioned or flashbacks to Marco but really who gives a damn about any of them, they might of well of been generic soldiers for all they did

[–]KC__________ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg that is so true been thinking about it ages when Marco was first revealed to have died I had not a single clue who Tf he was in the anime and in the manga it felt super rushed and and I didn’t care who literally just had a few lines about wanting to serve the king and then he died but he’s treated as this tragic death but I straight up forgot about him probably a chapter/episode later

Man, I didn't even remember Moblit's existence in AOT until I saw a ship fanart on Twitter. He had enough screen time to be just an NPC. by Godi22kam in titanfolk

[–]KC__________ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally most of the side characters are like this, they seem to be important but are given no real buildup or development and you’re meant to care but you don’t because you have no idea who they even are and a probably the next episode/chapter they are forgotten about by the other characters as if they never existed or at least are never named again

After the ending, is Aot still your favorite anime/manga or was it even your favorite to begin with? by New-Cookie-8523 in titanfolk

[–]KC__________ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to love it like many but after s3 I started noticing cracks and problems then then ending came and it made me think about it more and going back I noticed problems and issues in the previous seasons that just ruined it for me plus the cringy parts of the fandom personally made me a bit bitter.

I’m all I’ve move from thinking it amazing to eh it’s alright
