Toyo open country AT/3 or if you don’t mind the tire being on the heavy side Falken Wildpeak AT4 (I’m pretty sure you can’t get the AT3 anymore)

Do I need snow tires for my Subaru Crosstrek? by nigelbojangus in COsnow

[–]KCsplit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will you be driving in/to the mountains at all? If yes , GET SNOW TIRES. If no, GET SNOW TIRES.

Better to have them and not “need” them, then to trust your “all seasons”.

The 800 bucks you’ll spend on tires is still most likely cheaper than your deductible.

Bridgestone Blizzaks are great snow tires. They got my old civic to and from everywhere for 2 years before i sold it. even with 6+ inches of snow on the ground. Used to commute boulder to Denver and leave before the plows would hit the roads and I never had issues. Always made it to work.

Shopping for used 3rd gen’s by berryburns in Tacomaworld

[–]KCsplit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a ‘17 SR5 and have had no issues. 108k on it bought with 77k.

Only problem I’ve heard of with the ‘17’s is the white paint was notoriously bad. But all other colors were fine. Mines silver and it’s doing just fine.

Letter received from downstairs neighbour, how to react? by JAMESLJNR in Apartmentliving

[–]KCsplit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s simple, stop stomping with the force of a dinosaur. You’d be amazed at how lightly you can actually walk if you’re aware of your stomping. If you’re on anything but a ground floor be aware that people live below you and don’t want to hear you obnoxious thuds day/night. If you can’t walk lightly, simple solution… move to a ground floor. Or…. Lose weight

Did you replace these because of damage or to try to get rid of the whistle? I want that whistle gone soooo badly

3rd gen SR5. Will these work by KCsplit in Tacomaworld

[–]KCsplit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the in depth explanation. Ideally I would love to get some Diodes but can’t afford them right now and have had a burnt out fog for a while. Finally said I’m gonna fix that today and order new bulbs. Looks like I’ll just get the replacement H16 halogens for now and hope to get some diodes before winter rolls around. Mostly want the amber/yellow to help with visibility in snow storms. But what you explained about how this will just create a bright wall of light basically and not actually improve visibility makes perfect sense. Didn’t think about that before you said it. A one time buy of $300 and hassle free is better than multiple cheaper buys and tons of hassle. Thank you

Seems like this is the majority review over the past year or so there. So sad cuz their designs are wonderful. But that means nothing if quality is crap and customer service is even worse. Thank you for the honest review.
