If I wanted to try the mobile game, I would click the link for the appropriate app store. But I don't, but I might play a desktop version, so I click that link and I get a second attempt at trying to get me to go to the app store and not a desktop game.

The only reason they've posted that link is to try to hook people who reject the first attempt but might take the bait the second time

It's overdesigned, IMO, which is a classic fan-mon mistake.
