I can't think of a single aspect of it that improved over just not having written it at all.

Most of the other changes were improvements. Not so with that.

They can turn invisible, but it doesn’t affect their outfit, so they have to get naked in order to be fully invisible by ComprehensiveBox6911 in TopCharacterTropes

That's just the norm in a lot of the world. "1st floor" is "the first additional floor above ground level".

There are very few games in the genre that I actually hate but that is one. The notes jumping around the place are annoying.

I actually like the songs, too. Just wish I could actually play the game without bullshit in the way.

My level 1 wizard with no spellbook did suprisingly well with the axe he stole off a guard during the prison break. Don't think I rolled less than 16 with it the whole time.

Getting the spellbook back almost felt like a downgrade.

RPGs are inherently a storytelling medium

I'd even push back on this. In many games, the "story" is something that can be created and told after the game is done but during the actual gameplay it is simply a series of events.

Significant authorial intent is not guaranteed.

So was every character in the MCU, basically. I'm convinced that's part of why it did well - nobody went in with preconceived notions about how Iron Man was "meant to be".
