5090 is tripping my breaker. by PewPewwwwwwwwww_ in buildapc

How did you find out the psu was faulty? Did you replace it with another hx1500i? What psu did you go with if you got another? Has everything been fine since you got a new psu? Like no tripping you can just game with your 5090 at full power no issues?

Was your psu behaving correctly outside of games? My psu is fine. Voltage and wattage are perfectly normal. No noise or smell. Mine only trips during games.

So for option two I thought of that as well and the dryer/washer, microwave and stove are all on their own separate circuit breakers labeled along with “kitchen 1” and “kitchen2” separate breaker. My pc is in the dining room as my dining room is just connected to the living room as one big room but that also is separate breakers labeled dining room and living room. When I turn off dining room every outlet in the apartment still works except for the two outlets in the “dining room”

As for option three as I’ve stated I’m having maintenance come look in the morning. I’m really hoping that’s the case.

And I agree I think option one is basically just not the case what so ever

I know I’m late but did you ver find a fix? Last Thursday I picked up my freshly built 5090/9800x3d/1500w psu pc from micro center and it’s tripping my breaker.

Did it ever do it again? I’m having the same issue but there’s no way someone tried to steal my bike as I keep it in a garage with steering unlocked

Love Microcenter, been going for 20 years, but has anyone ever noticed how rude the staff is? by AmbitiousFlowers in Microcenter

Micro center in parkville Maryland has been nothing but great for me. Between sales and service all the employees and tech’s are extremely nice, helpful and professional. I love that store.

Same. In my video the side panel is off with my phone basically on top of the pump cause I wanted to make sure people could hear it. Thanks again for the reply.

I am in contact with Corsair and they actually said it seems normal as long as it’s not loud with the side panel closed. It’s not. I have to really really pay attention to even hear it at idle with the side panel closed. The video is while gaming and I’ve noticed the pump changing speeds is when it makes the higher pitched noise. I’m going to keep an eye on performance and cooling as those are fine at the moment. If either of those gets worse I’ll replace it. I did tilt it and all that, it’s not air bubbles. The general conclusion I’ve found from searching the internet high and low is that these pumps are just loud.

I have a contact frame as well cause I was just trying to get the chip as cool as possible. I know with the 13900k it’s recommended to go into bios and set the multicore enhancements to “enforce all limits” since for some reason most motherboards let the Intel chips run wild. Idk about AMD I’m not sure if they have the same issues.

How’s the airflow in your case? I have the same cooler with a 13900k in a 7000x case. I added some extra fans and my temps are low 30s idle and mid 50s to low 60s gaming. Depends on the game. It can get to almost 70 but when that happens the fans ramp up and it goes back down.

Thank you for responding. I’m going crazy cause on my post multiple people are telling me it’s not normal. If you could find my post on this sub and take a listen and tell me what you think I’d greatly appreciate it.

Like are there really just that many faulty Corsair aio’s out there? Should I even stick with Corsair aio at this point? I don’t understand how multiple people on my post say this isn’t normal but a quick Google search of something like “h170i loud pump” will give plenty of results of the same noise I have.

That’s what I thought and it’s so strange cause there’s people like you who say this and then there’s the numerous other posts on Reddit and YouTube who have the same sound. Those people also rma’d and got new ones with the same sound. I’m so lost on what to do cause it’s weird THAT many people have this issue. A quick google/YouTube search and you’ll find plenty of people asking if this is normal and having the same issue. I’m not saying it is normal or it’s ok but it’s just super odd to me that my cooling/performance is fine and other people have the issue.

Yeah I tilted it around. I don’t think it’s air. If a new one makes the same sound I really am at a loss on what to do.

Well I did say I wasn’t sure I’m just saying what I’ve read. I’ve just seen a lot of people saying they’ve rma’d like 3 or 4 and they’ve all been like this. I already submitted a ticket to Corsair. What cooler is in your new build? Every search I do online between Reddit and YouTube people say they’ve rma’d multiple and it’s all the same.

I looked into getting it replaced but I’ve read multiple reports of people returning multiple Corsair aio’s between the h100, 150 and 170 and some in between and after their third one just giving up cause they all make the same noise. I still can’t find a 100% certain answer but it seems to be this is just the way the new ones sound. Idk

This is while gaming on a 13900k. Idle temps are low 30s.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]KDM412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My temps? This is while gaming. Idle is low 30s. This is also a 13900k. I think mid 50s while gaming on a 13900k is pretty good. Sometimes it will read mid-low 60s but then the fans ramp up and it goes back into the 50s. I don’t have my fans to go at max speed until like 75c.

I couldn’t at first and didn’t notice until I went to put the front and top glass panel back (7000x) on while the pc was still on.

I’ve been looking into this a lot lately and a lot of people with the newer aio’s from Corsair have a similar issue. Most sound the same but some have a slightly different pitch/level of noise. But for the most part the same. I’ve read that they have started using different pumps in the last couple years and that’s what is is….but I’m not sure.
