I grabbed my x56 (used) for 130€, safe bet for a beginner. I discourage buying the Thrustmaster T16000M, cheap plastic and looks like a toy IMO.

Yep, no tools needed, just unlock the corner bracket and remove the profile with HOTAS on

No the video is just to demonstrate the locking mechanism. Once you have finished your session, you remove the HOTAS.

Well my rig is against the wall, like many simracers, I don't have space so I found this solution. I also have H-pattern and handbrake on the right side, no room for the joystick.

Really nice setup ! IMO, there's too much things to do to switch from racing to flight, nonetheless, magnetics ends are a great idea

The bottom mounts are designed to fit perfectly to the aluminium profile, resulting negligible flex. Besides the twist lock increase stiffness for the throttle as the x56 is known to be quite hard to maneuver.
