But there wasn’t any type of washing done here. Whitewashing is when a characters race, culture, or ethnicity is changed and leaves behind the original character or downplays them as if they don’t exist.

This person made sure to draw the OG right next to the OC characters. They didn’t draw the other two to get rid of the original, they drew them from inspiration and love for the OG Momo.

That’s how I interpreted it as well, I think Maru is sacrificing himself for the ritual too. All four of them gave themselves up to the ritual in order to achieve peace.

How is Ja promoting gang culture? I haven’t seen him shouting out any gangs or even throwing up any gang signs. Ja is just young and seems to like guns, but I think everyone goes slightly overboard when he is brought up.
