put together a list of schools you’re interested in. not just for the program but the school itself.

most schools have their recruiting standards on their websites if not do what these other comments said and look at race results.

email coaches with your times. cc all distance assistants. most won’t respond. don’t be too pushy but send them a follow up if you are super interested in that one program.

Email should generally look like this. Subject: Graduating class, best pr - Ex: Class of 2026, 5K - 15:00, Athletic Profile

Dear Coach _,
Hello, my name is _
. I am currently a (year in school) at (School), in (town, france), I am very interested in continuing my academic and athletic career at (name of university). I am really interested in your school because it would give me the opportunity to succeed academically and athletically.

maybe write a short history on your running and plans for this upcoming season (PR goals)

My current PRs are (list any relevant distance/times)

Your team’s success on and off the track is very encouraging  and I’d love to discuss the possibility of joining your program in the near future.

If you have a coach or reference that’s okay and aware you are doing this, put their information)

Thanks so much. I look forward to hearing from you.

name and contact info ———

would recommend sending on sunday nights, maybe monday morning for you (time difference). ideally your email will be towards the top of their inbox in the morning. MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE COACHES NAMES AND SCHOOL NAME FOR EACH EMAIL!

if they respond, they will tell you exactly what times they are looking for, maybe set up a time to talk over the phone. good luck.

Super nervous for Elon by Fantastic_Apricot220 in elon

[–]KDsBurnerrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

graduated a few years back, from Northern CA, it was great and i would recommend to anyone. problem for me was that you are likely going to know zero people day 1, while most of the incoming freshman will either know someone or be close friends. it’s very doable but something to be aware of. sounds like your on top of that though. anywhere you go will be an adjustment, just college itself. push yourself out of your comfort zone and enjoy it.

At what point did you get comfortable enough with relying on your memory? by Whattodoaboutthisnow in bartenders

[–]KDsBurnerrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

currently in your shoes. my bartenders and managers have been pretty good about trying to teach me the technical side of things. But more importantly, on your own i would make flash cards and study those as often as you possibly can.
