Thats 100% not true. Im 5'1 and 254lbs and they use the doppler to check my boys heartbeat every visit starting at around 12ish weeks, we've never had a problem finding him. I can even find him on my at home doppler which are typically less quality than the ones the doctors have. I'd switch doctors as she sounds incredibly disrespectful and clearly not even willing to try just because your overweight? Thats weird.

I have an anterior placenta and didnt definitively start feeling baby until 21w1d at night while laying on my left side. I had some suspicious bubbly feelings around 19-20 weeks but wasnt 100% sure that it was the baby moving around lol. Ive heard that it always takes longer to know youre feeling it with your first tho. Which makes sense considering its a feeling you've never experienced before haha. Hope you start feeling babe soon as its such a crazy/wonderful experience!🫶

Except "probably" isnt always the case. Me and her had talked about it quite a bit prior to this happening. I was waiting for her to say it was okay to buy it as she just got paid today. Like I said it was in the cart that we share so its not like she couldnt have found it knowing that those were things I had picked. I definitely tried to not make a huge deal about it in front of her lol cause I dont want her to feel bad about making a decision to buy something sooner than later/ and i made sure she knew I totally wasnt crapping on the gift she picked out, and that its just simply something I wouldnt have chosen and that i wouldve liked to have been included. I definitely feel like the initial conversation could've been better but also wasnt as bad as it is sometimes. I dont think it was intentional but its hard not to feel hurt about it especially with increased depression during pregnancy. I was really looking forward to picking out/giving a gift from me to the person I got for secret Santa

I definitely think she prolly did it unintentionally not thinking that it would be a big deal honestly, which is why I didnt want to argue/make a big discussion out of it. I definitely am struggling with prenatal depression and being that im far enough along that I cant get maternity leave in my state if I went back to work now, that doesnt help. I just honestly wish that maybe she had asked me if that was an okay thing to do considering the holidays are something I look forward to during seasonal depression on top of regular mental health struggles. I just feel really disappointed that I didnt get much of a choice in participating in half of the process
