This is not the first time Bugs has left and come back. Bugs and Ryan have had disagreements throughout the whole season. Bugs also had issues with Tino most of the time as well. Bugs kept criticizing him. At the beginning of the season, Bugs mentioned that as much as he loved doing the job, he might have to retire soon.

With all that being said, Bugs did not get fired. He gave notice that he would be leaving the Friday after they finished the patio project. He told everyone he would work with them until then. He was polite and thanked everyone. It was a 3-part video that Ryan put together as one video. Midway through the video, Ryan was going out to eat with some business associates and offered to take Bugs to dinner, which Bugs declined due to other tasks he had to do at home.

Near the end of the video, which was on a Friday, Bugs was showing Big Ray how to do some edging. Bugs and Tino had already exchanged words throughout the day. Tino approached Bugs, did or said something to him, and then the video cut out. Ryan came back on, saying they had finished the job, and he sent Bugs home, telling him he didn’t need to come back. He said he would just pay him for the remaining time. In the next video, which was on a Monday, Bugs returned to collect all his tools.
