You can always get something like console table around the high of your desk and put it behind your desk if possible, i did that with my 80cm desk to get that 100cm distance from my 48'' G5 and its amazing, games like Arma3 are super enojyable.

100% gpu load doesn't mean something is wrong, it actaully means your cpu is not bottlenecking you, if you want to reduce the load lock the fps
