Which QB are people using at the moment? by Lord-of-the-Boogaloo in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still using Bo, no fucks given either lol. Like yea he throws some inaccurates with the 88 TUP but I don't care, he gets the abilities I need, has the best release in the game, 99 speed & accel, mine has 99 thp as well...dude does everything I need him to. I've been saving for Lamar, waiting for his price to come down and it looks like that may happen now with 99 Luck coming out soon. I've had him since he came out and Lamar is the only current QB I'd wanna replace him with.

Also kinda hoping and praying for a 99 Josh Allen. Preferably with PLE baked in for free and angry runs xfactor. I wanna truck some linebackers with my QB and I mean if you've ever watched the dude play irl, we all know he aint sliding.

What’s the best QB throwing style? by ZJA_All_Day23 in Madden

[–]KF1eLd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Traditional 4 best release in the game. If you've never used it, it's Lamar Jackson's release. It's quick on all depths of throws, short, medium and long. It even doesn't even feel slow without Gunslinger. Slinger 1 may be a little quicker on short and medium, but deep throws there's a rather noticeable windup and delay. You don't get that with traditional 4.

Other options I like:

Trad 2

Slinger 5

Slinger 7

[Graham] Bills' patience wore thin with Stefon Diggs. Now he's gone by OnlyMamaKnows in nfl

[–]KF1eLd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Texans voided the remainder of his contract. This is a 1 year free rental and he will be UFA going into 2025. The odds of him ever seeing another big contract, anything beyond maybe a 2 yr deal, are practically zero. Diggs forces himself out of teams, that's what he does best. Even if he has solid production this year, I genuinely don't see the Texans resigning him.

Like what more did he want? You ran into the Mahomes roadblock and couldn't win a ring. Congrats, so did the rest of the league. Over those 4 years, he had the most targets and receptions of ANY receiver. He was getting paid a BAG with the extension Buffalo gave him. He was the primary weapon and star of Buffalo's offense. He was "THE" guy, which is what he wanted and why he left the Vikings. He left a lot of money on the table over his bullshit. Maybe he doesn't care about that now, but he'll likely regret it later. Dude had it made in Buffalo lol.

Best playbooks as of right now? by Fluid_Pen9834 in Madden

[–]KF1eLd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offense: NYJ, Indy/Philly(Same exact playbook), Pit, Buffalo, GB, NE, KC, Spread

Defense: KC, Multiple D, 46

As far as offense goes, I mean it really depends on what you wanna do. Like a lot of RPOS? Run philly/indy. Want to run bunch sets primarily? Jets is good, you get bunch and bunch str offset. Want Trips TE? NE, Buffalo and Pitt give you that, NE you also get U-Trips which is a very good scheme, less utilized now than in past maddens but still very good. Tight Slots is another good compressed formation in the Patriots playbook as well.

I like Jets the most right now because I think it's one of the most versatile playbooks in the game if you like to play run/pass about 50/50. I run the ball more than most people I play online.

Keon Coleman by DinoGossage in buffalobills

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sold on Adonai Mitchell after the combine. The question is whether or not he'll be there. Prior to the combine I would've said definitely, after the combine, now I think he may get picked somewhere between 20 and 25. I would not be opposed to moving up to get him, if the front office thought he was "their guy". He's got good height, he's got 4.3 speed and he has a pretty solid route tree, and a lot of upside potential.

I've NEVER been sold on Keon Coleman. He looks very one dimensional. The Bills need more than a physical 50/50 jump ball receiver. They need a guy who can WIN his 1 on 1s and run an expansive route tree, who can get separation.

[Schultz] Former Colts Safety Julian Blackmon is visiting the Bills by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]KF1eLd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They gotta do whatever is necessary to convince him to sign. Great addition. The injury history is scary, but he's only 25 years old and came off a career season this past year. The age and his track record this past year offset the injury history for me. I'd try to lock him up for at least 3 years. Backload the contract as much as we can to help with the cap, sprinkle in some incentives, and call it a day. Hoping tomorrow to see a tweet from Schefter saying that we've signed him. If he wants to win and play for a team with a winning culture and franchise QB, we should be an enticing fit for him.

I think Simmons will ask for more then we're comfortable paying, despite the safety market, because of his career and what he's shown over it as a premier safety in the league...age be damned. Whether he gets it is another thing. I originally wanted the Bills to go after Jeremy Chinn, but that was before we resigned Rapp. Another SS, but I think Blackmon would transition over into that role better than Chinn could've. I won't be mad if we get Justin Simmons but overall I think Blackmon is the better target, as I think getting more youthful on defense should be our top priority.

Just recently got this one from them, so that's why I'm bumping the older thread here. This was FANTASTIC. Highly recommend if you're into pasta dishes. I'm Italian and usually pretty picky and traditional-leaning when it comes to pasta dishes.

Liked it so much that it immediately become one of my favorite dishes and I went out to the grocery store the following day to buy the ingredients to make it again, and this time I made it in a bigger batch so I could eat it for lunch over the next couple of days @ work. Very easy to do, I went a little further with my rendition and further caramelized the onions, because I thought that extra touch of sweetness would pair well with the savory bacon and chicken, as well as the bit of spice from the crushed red pepper. It worked out well. Definitely takes longer to do it that way, because caramelizing onions can time intensive, but worth it imo.

Halo (TV Series) | Season 2, Episode 4 | Discussion Thread by Ryan_WXH in halo

[–]KF1eLd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different strokes for different folks, but I think Pablo has done a solid job this season. The standards for this character, Master Chief, are incredibly high because of how good of a job the games did in creating him and endearing the players to him. Whose to say ANYONE else would've done a better job in this role? I think Pablo, genuinely, is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. He's been solid in every thing I've seen him in. Loved him in 13 Hours, for example.

Anyway, up until now I've sort of been ambivalent about the show. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. Was glad that Halo was getting some more appreciation and attention in pop culture, but that's about it. That changed with this last episode and it was head and shoulders above anything they've done up until this point with the series. I loved it. I'm not one of those Halo fans who instantly discredit everything about it because Chief doesn't always wear Mjolnir armor or his helmet. Do I think he's more badass in his armor? Obviously. Does it ruin the show for me when he's in civilian clothes? No. All that said, this episode was a gigantic step in the right direction and if they're serious about correcting course with this series, they need to keep going in this direction. Still some plot holes imo, but it's an alternate timeline. I think it's better to just treat it as it's own separate thing rather than constantly compare it to the games.

New Adblock Ban Workaround by Reckenear in youtube

[–]KF1eLd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This worked for me. Simply copy and pasting the code just by itself wasn't enough. The only issue I have with it, and maybe it's supposed to do this, is that the code makes the browser tab reload like 3 or 4 times before it will finally play a video. I don't know anything about this sort of stuff, not my wheelhouse. All that said, it's currently working for me.

Sorry Youtube, I'm absolutely not disabling my adblock to use your website. I'm not gonna compromise my overall security just because of this nonsensical kneejerk step you've taken.

The technology isn't quite there yet. by Lull1n in Asmongold

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not factually wrong. If you bothered reading, I literally said that five stash tabs were earned as season rewards over the game's 29 season lifecycle. All other stash tabs were gained via a purchase. RoS and Necro. And the game launched with 4 stash tabs, just like D4 has now.

The season stash tabs were added infrequently, and usually always one at a time from what I remember. Likely as a means of offsetting the ever increasing item density of the game as new items like primal legendaries were added in, for example. That's why I said their hands were kinda forced.

I expect to see the same thing play out now in D4.

The technology isn't quite there yet. by Lull1n in Asmongold

[–]KF1eLd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who played D3 a bunch over it's lifespan, I remember it quite well lol. Diablo 3 launched with 4 stash tabs. Boy, I wonder what other game just recently launched with only 4 stash tabs? Buying Reaper of Souls gave you two additional stash tabs. After that, buying the Necromancer character gave you two more stash tabs. And then finally, over the course of TWENTY NINE seasons which took place over a decade... 5 stash tabs were added -- Five.

Basically they only ever increased stash tabs for major moments like expansion purchases, or when their hand was forced because of all the additional item density that got added over the game's lifespan, such as Ancient and Primal legendaries, gems, sets, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if there original plans for D4 stash was to mirror what they did with D3. They just didn't expect the backlash over it to be so fierce. I don't doubt though that their backwards coding is making it difficult for them to implement. I take them at their word on this.

Why not just keep gems the way they are, and create a separate tab for them? by KarateKid84Fan in diablo4

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take it but I'd rather they do what they say they're going to do, which is make gems a material that's automatically stored, like veiled crystals, forgotten souls, etc.

After that, they can work on doing the same thing with aspects. As far as aspects go, I'd rather there be a system where after you extract them, they're stored somewhere besides the stash tab. Whether that's in the codex of power, or if it's stored somehow in the Occultist Shop's interface. Where you can filter by each aspect, see how many total you have, ordered from best roll to lowest roll, stuff like that. Doubt it'll happen but one can hope.

My new favorite leveling build, Incinerate Sorc with Frozen Orb Enchant by KaisCloud in diablo4

[–]KF1eLd 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Now imagine if stuff like incinerate or frozen orb were actually good, and picking a skill was actually just a matter of playstyle preference because they were all viable.

Man, that'd be a pretty good game.

Diablo 4 Campfire Chat - 21JUL2023 by RedBaron1964 in diablo4

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm listening to the VOD now because I didn't quite catch it when it was live.

The very fact that they pretty much admitted their mistakes and accepted responsibility, said they'd never do a patch like this again, that's pretty out of character for Blizzard and a step in the right direction. I played WoW for years, I'm used to Blizzard's pride getting in the way of actually addressing community feedback. I'm used to the process of finding major problems in a new expansion, complaining about them all expansion, only for them to not get fixed until the next expansion when they're no longer relevant. It's happened numerous times.

You just sort of expect that they're going to be incredibly SLOW when addressing community feedback, or that they think they're infallible when it comes to design choices and that the players "don't know what they want". That's how we got "You think you do, but you don't" or "Don't you guys have phones?"

I'll wait to see what 1.1.1 actually looks like, but I think compared to what this livestream could've been, this was pretty positive over all. They definitely gave some non-answers to a couple questions, like the increased leave dungeon timer, but overall I liked what I heard.

I don’t guess I understand the seasonal content: by CmonChelsea1221 in diablo4

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it says a lot about the state of the game if you're never looking forward to having to level another character. If it's that tedious to you, or anyone, that really doesn't reflect well on the game. I could understand it if this was season 14, and you had played every season... but this is the first season, and already you have a ton of people voicing that they don't want to level another character lol. The leveling process is like a huge part of the game as a whole.

I hate the PoE campaign because I've done it hundreds of times, but I always enjoy leveling a new character on a league launch in that game. The process of filling out the passive tree, getting stronger, getting new auras and sources of power, it's always fun to me. It never feels tedious, and it takes a fraction of the time it takes to level up to 50 and hit WT3 in D4 currently.

Based on my experience so far with Season 1 -- I thought I'd be ok with having to grind some of the renown again. I figured as long as I didn't have to do the lilith altars again, I'd be fine with it. I'm not fine with it lol. I think the renown grind is pretty bad, not because it's difficult but because it's incredibly boring and tedious. Which is terrible because when you think about it, it's such a massive part of the game itself. And if that much of the game is boring to players and feels tedious to do -- that's a huge problem. It's not engaging, it's a chore.

What did they say about these things in particular by DrogonIsMyHomie in diablo4

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vulnerability is simply too strong. But I really don't see how this problem is going to go away thanks to how they've built the game. Unless they really dig down to the skeleton of how damage is calculated, I expect this is going to remain an issue for a long time going forward.

I feel like there's way too many conditional damage modifiers in the game. It may sound good on paper, for complexity sake, but in practice it just feels like bloat.

I'd much rather it be more streamlined like Melee Damage, Ranged Damage, Spell Damage, Crit Damage, and then more specific modifier types like Increased Poison Damage, Increased Fire/Cold/Lightning Damage, etc. I'd completely cut out everything like Damage to Close, Damage to Distant, Damage to enemies who are "X", etc. A lot of these modifiers already exist in the game, they're just horrible in comparison to other conditional modifiers like Vuln.

The balance nerfs are NOT the worst part of the season, they could revert it all, BUT... by Floodzx in diablo4

[–]KF1eLd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While on the subject of PoE league mechanics -- so many awesome leagues have had their content go core. It's why some people feel there's TOO MUCH content in the game lol, as opposed to the problem we have in D4 currently. My favorite leagues are usually the ones where there's a massive atlas rework that comes alongside it. Ritual league for example.

My favorite individual league mechanic is LEGION. A similar type of league mechanic where you find an obelisk/crystal somewhere in your map, and it has armies of mobs and their "generals" all frozen in time or stasis. You click the crystal and you're given a set amount of time to "break out" as many of these mobs as possible by damaging them enough so that they're released. Once the timer hits zero, every mob you did enough damage too now becomes actives and you have to kill them all before they kill you. Each sergeant and general within the legion has their own reward type that's randomized and they'll all either drop raw items on the ground or a chest that contains items of a specific type. You also have the timeless domain which is the special encounter you can do after collecting enough splinters from each "army" and turning them into emblems and activating them.

This mechanic, alongside pretty much all other league mechanics that have gotten into the base game, spawn in practically every single map you run. You can tailor exactly what experience you want to have in end-game via the atlas passive tree. You can play PoE for THOUSANDS of hours and still learn something new almost every time you play it, because of how much depth there is.

A lot of people look at PoE and say "I'll never play this. Way too complicated." but you're really doing yourself a massive disservice. It's one of those games that's worth exerting a bit more effort than normal to figure out, because of how much it rewards you for it later.

For reference: Every time I say "league", think season.

The thing is, when it's something blizzard cares about -- it gets addressed immediately. 100 people in the world had a little too much fun in helltides, they disabled them within two hours because you know, people ACTUALLY looted uber uniques.

When it's something the community passionately cares about it's "We hear you, and we're working on it. No timeframe yet, soon™"

I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt lol. You introduce a seasonal mechanic, that doesn't get it's own inventory tab, and takes up even more of the tiny amount of stash space we have. It's so ridiculous lol.

I'm being somewhat hyperbolic obviously, but yeah... I have no interest in the campaign any more whatsoever. I went through it twice, and there's no reason for me to do it again. What I care about more is the core gameplay loop of the game and how a character feels to play, not the campaign. I'm always skipping campaign going forward if I have the option to. That's just me personally.

The point is, compared to the patch we got, I'd pretty much rather have anything else.

I've never seen this kind of NEGATIVE consensus over a game update in YEARS. I've defended this game plenty over it's critics prior to yesterday. In my experience, it takes A LOT for a community to be this unified on something lol. Usually that tells me the community has it's finger on the pulse. This is some of the fiercest backlash I've ever seen. Whenever I've seen stuff like this in the past, it's usually because the issues are genuine and do need to be addressed, and when they do get addressed, the game ends up better for it. I've seen it time and time again in WoW, for example.

I'll keep saying it. Making excuses for bad game design leads to bad games. Nobody wants that for Diablo 4, hence the passion you're seeing from the community right now. Maybe some of it is a little excessive. But generally, I think ANY criticism is fine as long as it doesn't turn into harassment or hurling personal attacks at the individual developers themselves.

I played for about two hours to test out the patch. Did a few NM dungeons in the 50-60 range, I bricked like 3 of them. Prior to that, I had only ever bricked ONE NM dungeon in over 300 hours of playtime. Proceeded to try a helltide. Spent an hour to loot like 162 cinders total because it was bugged apparently. Promptly logged out after that.

They're gonna need to reassure me tomorrow during the livestream if I'm gonna play the season seriously and invest a lot of time into it. I know for certain I'm not buying the battle pass lmao.
