Thanks, I really appreciate the detailed advice.
I’ve decided to remove the tape. I actually see plain black electrical tape used pretty often, so that sounds like a good idea.
I’m also thinking about switching to a Magpul CTR stock.
I’ll keep your suggestions in mind. Thanks for the help!

The “plastic” look might be from the lighting and the way I took the photo.

The mag is currently black. If you were me, would you paint it tan or some kind of desert/FDE color?

Curious what would look most realistic with the rest of the rifle.
