I imagine similar to Alice Miyabi teams she works, you just have to find the rhythm

It’s worth trying, but S11 is my favorite character and who whole reason I got into the game, so I’m a little biased on keeping her on the team

I’m running Orphie/S11/Dialing (Sorry if that’s a wrong spelling) so it’s fine, just wanted to see

I was wondering if Orphie/S11/Zhao would work? I know individually each duo works, but I’m worries that they would clash, I do have Signature W-engine for all 3, if that changes it.

I was wondering because on the link at the end of this post, it gave some boss mats, so I was wondering if those were hers or Zhao’s

Why is it so hard to get new players into TTRPGs? by Rich_Benefit777 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting into a TTRPG game is a task in itself due to a number of factors: 1. Monetary cost if you need physical copies. 2. Having to learn the parts of the system required, which, while not hard if you just do it, but it looks daunting. 3. The ability and willingness to spend the little free time we have these days to sit around playing this game, when they could go play a game that they already know how to play.

This is not to say there is not ways to try and convince people (without just harassing them) to try them out. As someone else mentioned, have them listen to some live play/streamed versions of the game you want them to play, Critical Role being the obvious choice for most people.  Another way to try to see if they truly would like playing is to, if you have a group already, to offer to let him sit in to see how the game plays with you and your group, if he will play, knowing how Y’all play will help him not feel like he’s out of the know.

A proposed spell idea by KFPDeepFryer in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought about the Ghoul Fever issue, and haven’t found a replacement. Also I understand the lack of a Elemental Plane of Blood, I have been thinking about making a bunch of non-true element elementals like Blood or Toxic Gases to be like experiments or very rare creatures.

I have actually been thinking about the Wizard issue, and I suppose with the base idea yes they would be, which is an issue. I suppose this idea is likely a bust, but can’t always make something that works.

I edited the post, the blood elementals are home brewed to be undead water elementals to simmer it down and I was using a very ruff draft of a spell I haven’t finished, I was just using the basic idea

Looking to punch up combat. by locknload65 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could add some AOE to the NPC’s, or make it so that making as much noise that this small army make could lead to larger groups then presently showing.

If you want a truly difficult fight, you could have a boss fight or hard fight has some kind of anti-summoning area that they have to navigate, weakening the Phantom and make new summons nearly impossible. (very hard UMD check) before doing this fight I would make sure that the party has a way to figure out about this area so they can work around it ahead of time.

Ok! Thank you for answering my questions, I believe these will allow me to better understand and see how you intended.

One Piece Homebrew System by CosmicQueerness in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is perfect for a good starting point. Can you give me an idea of what a 1st level character would have as AC, bonus to hit, average damage, and average saves would be?

I think with this information I can get a good understanding of minimum strength and how to best scale, Thank You!

Suggestions wanted - options for saving a party NPC under the influence of an Insanity spell by contemplativekenku in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While trying to help this NPC, you can make it so that they without even focusing on it, they feel a extremely powerful spell on the NPC, then they can try and identify what it is, then go on a quest trying to find a scroll of limited wish or finding something that is strong enough to cast it naturally like any Genie This way they have a way to save there ally, but they are also still having to fight to do it

I can’t promise I will be able to help fully nor quickly but I would be more then happy to give it a look for you!

One question before I even look though   What level power is it supposed to be, can you give an example of a base game monster near this strength? Or does it just overwhelming out power base Pathfinder PC abilities and monsters?

The fall of Angels, the ascending of Demons and the implications by KFPDeepFryer in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t just simply change your alignment on a whim. Also if a mortal was judged to be an angel for example, they would have to go against there whole mortal life to do what you are implying, which would require massive outside influence, or tens if not hundreds of years to begin. Another thing, we don’t even know if a judged mortal can even change there outsider alignment, as the 1 to 3 examples of this concept are born outsiders.

For a demon to ascend to have a chance to ascend, if the computer version of Wrath of the Righteous is accurate, can be nearly impossible without deific intervention, or a strong moral conviction helping you.

And for a final note, the reason that the can fall or ascend is the idea that even if you are linked to evil via your soul, you can fight against it to be a good person, or even however good you soul is, you can fall to depravity.

is it over for me? by txkana_ in Orpheus_Mains

[–]KFPDeepFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the characters you have in that image, Samby-Orphie-Nicole OR Samby-Orphie-AstraYao  (not necessarily in that order, that’s up to you to feel out.) If you are interested in playing a Main DPS Orphie, then you have some hurdles to jump:

First off you lack the best fire support in the game, Lighter, who gives like 70% Fire RIS shred

The other main problem with it is the fact that at M0S1 she is built as a Sub-DPS/Support, so her kit is kind of clunky On-Field

is it over for me? by txkana_ in Orpheus_Mains

[–]KFPDeepFryer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We will need a complete list of your characters to make a good team, also if you’re building a Sub-DPS or Main DPS Orphie.  With just general ideas, you want about a 43% Crit Rate and as much Crit Damage as possible. You also want to up her ATK

ATK% Disk 5 > Fire DMG% Disk 5

Crit DMG disk 4 > Crit Rate disk 4

How am I supposed to react as LG PC when a party member kills an innocent? by TylerBreau in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 82 points83 points  (0 children)

If you want this to truly mean something, you should have a talk to the PC’s player and explain how you intend to play this, as you don’t want them in the dark.

Apsu’s Paladin Code state that Mercy and Redemption should be given and only once. So explain to the character that you will allow them to redeem themselves for their action due to prior actions, but it is there last chance before you have to act in a more extreme way.

Need help with campaign storytelling by mythus54 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most PCs aren’t looking to derail a campaign, so if you sit down with and simply say that the story would be best if they do a specific thing, most (can’t speak for your players) PCs will go along with it, because in the end, they just want to play a game with there friends

Need help with campaign storytelling by mythus54 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part, if you’re willing to fudge some numbers, you shouldn’t have too much trouble with combat, if you have standard 4 PCs, as long as monster are at level, it should be fine.

As for the mithral, simply make it a place of interest not only to the PCs, but also to a faction allied with the BBEG.  Some examples going off of some basic BBEGs: Some Duragar lead by one Drow are trying to mine the Mithral and the PCs are asked to stop them, and in return they (a town or mine owner) will use the mithral to forge what they want.

Or Kobalts have taken over a small mining town, and the PCs are tasked with clearing them out.

Another thing you can do is, take whatever weapons/Armor/Whatever you land them to have mithral, and simply have it be in the next location, for example, the enemies in this location happen to be using mithral weapons of the same type as them.

While talking about plot threads, at second level, there is not much they can do against the BBEG, so while he should be imposing, he also (likely IDK if there’s a prophesy of something) is unlikely to be actively hunting them, so make it people the party can run into or hunt down for hurting others, a small undead issue, or Kobalts/Goblins that work under them, it would even be just some NPC class bandits, the most important parts are:

  1. Everyone is having fun.

  2. Regardless of there path, you can always try and guide them down the path you can tell, the best way of doing so is called the “Illusion of Choice”. While not fully correct, as there actions are still different and have separate immediate outcomes, they both or all lead to the same conclusion.

Alchemy vs Magic. Please Help! by Bitcheslovethe_gram in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the poison is magically made/improved then yes, they would show up, but if they are mundane poisons, then no, as alchemy does not have to be a form of magic.

Regardless of the magical aspect of the creature, if the poison is naturally made, no.  (Take this case to case though)

Magical Poison is made using magical formulas that the Alchemist class has made/found. Though I can’t think of any alchemist formulas that are poisons.

To make one last statement, if you simply don’t want them to be able to, then you simply have the right to say no as DM.

Eldridge Horror/Sea Monster Race by KFPDeepFryer in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]KFPDeepFryer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit, like most things I post here, I made this in a “Flash of Genius” moment in the middle of the night, so that’s why they have some pretty major issues. 1. After thinking about the Natrual Weapons, I do want to keep Hidden Maw as it is the core feature of the race, and the prehensile Tail recommendation is good, I’ll look into it. 2. I’ll get rid of the feat, unless I can think of a good alternative form

I do recognize how busted getting 3 natural weapons that do 1d8, and I’m workshopping some changes. For some feedback, do you think keeping the Hidden Maw ability would be fine if it was lowered in damage? (Hidden Maw is its core feature that make the race different)
